The Hobby Shop we own is called MDRracing. They range depending on what you want from $319 - $1000. Nitro and Gas. Electrics are cheaper but again it depends on what you want. If its brushless it can get pretty pricy too.
Because, when he went through the puddle the second time it sucked in water through the carb. It doesnt really hurt the engine from what Ive seen...Only if the water has sand in it, then you might have a problem. lol
yeah everthing is excellent on that car except the engine, im experinced with nitros so i did all the maintenence for the engine but it still died after only 3 gallons of running it. im puttin an os 18 in it
Well Ive seen and driven with both engines. And I can tell the .21 makes alot more torque. The .18 is no slacker but if you wanna push a tall gear for some more speed go with the .21. Both amazing engines though.
yea iam thinking about making one ..cause we got a 1972 dodge 4 door and we are going to paint my t-max body the same loland i want to put a stack in it
Yea water can get into the engine. I havent raised the airfilter at all. When you get to much in there the engine will shut off and the engine will be flooded just like if you flood it with fuel. As for that ticking that seems like its really tight at the top of the sleeve when its cold. And when it warms up it loosens up the pinch and that would also stop the tick.
Im sorry but I was there watching the truck. The water is about 6 inches deep and the truck (Hydroplaned) accross. If it wasnt (hydroplanning) then it would have sank and fell on its face half way through....
sounds like a loose spur gear to me and if you got water in the engine it would cut out just like a real truck not just bogg down look at the gear it sounds like its slipping too much :)
Nah its not loose. Its all the way tight. These engines can take water to a certian point. Basicly the airfilter gets saturated and it starts to bog out like that. I have the same thing happen to my T-maxx. I do it all the time with em. You can hear how it sounds like it gets really rich sounding when he hits the water for the second time. But its really water getting in the engine.
stupid clutches... always slib if they get wet...

SilveradoKing53 3 years ago
that speed run u did was only like 25 to 30 but i mean the acceleartion is bad
CRF150EXPERT 3 years ago
Oh yea for sure. Well it was burning water in its fuel mixture too so lol. That wasnt helping.
SilveradoKing53 3 years ago
why was it burning water in its mixture? are you trying to kill your engine
CRF150EXPERT 3 years ago
Because, when he went through the puddle the second time it sucked in water through the carb. It doesnt really hurt the engine from what Ive seen...Only if the water has sand in it, then you might have a problem. lol
SilveradoKing53 3 years ago
oh i see, ive always liked the losi monster trucks beacuse there extremely durable and easy to set up
CRF150EXPERT 3 years ago
Yea I agree. Savages are pretty damm durable too. But I still like my T-maxxes.

I dunno if they still make the 18TM do they? I thought that the 21TM replaced it.
SilveradoKing53 3 years ago
they dont make the 18 anymore however the hobby shop still has three in stock though
CRF150EXPERT 3 years ago
Yea thats what I thought. Well I know the 18 is a good motor. So youll enjoy it.

that stack is nice ...that rubber dont melt
dodgediesel1993 3 years ago
Thanks man. No the rubber doesnt melt, its a pretty high temp silicone thats used in a nitro boat for the exhaust "pipe" so it works well.
SilveradoKing53 3 years ago
yea iam thinking about making one ..cause we got a 1972 dodge 4 door and we are going to paint my t-max body the same loland i want to put a stack in it
dodgediesel1993 3 years ago
Thats pretty cool. Yea get some video of it when its done.

how does the water gettin in the engine not harm it much and what wud happen if you got too much water in it ?
i have a thunder tiger buggy it seems to have high tick over but when it warms up it setles down is this normal ?
