  • i had stufed an orange one day.and when i shooted my canon explode

  • awesome, i like the "start ya bastard" ether can :D

  • thats heaps mad..why are all these videos mostly aussies hahaha

  • So wait..what you sprayed was Ether for the spark to set off, which fired the orange.

Was'nt the orange cooked or anything?

Ah, and how do you know how much ether you put in?

  • The propellant is a product that is similar to a brand called "Aerostart". It has a 25% component of ether. I used to use underarm antipersperant that had a propane component but they stopped making it. I spray what "feels" to be 2 seconds worth. Too much and it is too wet (rich) and too little will be lean. Trial and error really. The orange is not cooked, frozen or anything. Apples fly appart unless you place it in a plastic cup/soda bottle.

It's all good fun till someone loses a head....

  • great gun man, i had one of these once.

(yours looks better and more practical though)

    Launched oranges 300-400 meters far.

U have got me thinking about building one

again. Nice piece of work man 5/5

  • Start ya bastard! hahaha we use it to start dodgy boat engines!

Same kid as I knew when he was a teen...and still tinkering!

What's gripping the orange in the white tube and stopping it from rolling out if you tip the canon towards the ground?

  • the barrel is 65mm, just 2 or so mm smaller than a tennis ball coincidentally! If you select your fruit by bringing a tennis ball with you (or a piece of card with the right hole in it) Then it holds itself in. Can be up to 5mm larger than the hole and it will still come out ok.

  • Start ya bastard! Awesome. Very sweet design. Check mine out too. (klugeboy dot net)

  • pretty cool, i'll have to look for one of them canisters! i'm using sch40 PVC on mine.

    5 stars!

  • oh my god that was incredible

  • sweet, what did you use for the chamber cuz it looks a whole lot easier than having to screw on the end like i do.

  • The chamber is from a 105mm howitzer round transport tube. I found it at the army disposal store 10 years ago. Never found another one. Its made of glass filled nylon and it is shaped just right for this secondary function!

  • That's a really cool invention there. :)

  • You haven't changed a bit! Your toys just got bigger :)
