I actually do like King of the Hill.. and yeah , I hated it at first too.

It's a really good show if you give it a chance. I watch it with the strict understanding that Mike Judge is mostly making fun of that way of life.

He's putting the typical American Shmo under a microscope and showing just how boring our lives really are. It's a commentary on the whole Texas culture, and shouldn't really be taken at face value. It's deeper.

It's kind of an expose on how boring and stupid some people live their lives. How backwards and obsessed with trivial things, like god, propane, high school football, boggle, etc.. some people can be. How some people are shocked and embarrassed by anything non-conservative, or unconventional.
