Oh my god... I'm really sorry but the vocals don't fit the song. It could be worse but is almost as painful as the dance remix of Endless Rain I heard once (the refrain part : kokoro no kizu ni, which means "fall on my heart scars/mental scars" was translated to "fall on my shoulders". LOL Maybe Yoshiki couldn't decline because it would have gravely "insulted the feelings" of South Korea. Asian countries have this intriguing way of mixing emotions to politics. Just my humble guess as a Canadian.

Jo Sung Mo's voice is really good and smooth! And his singing during the english parts was superb as well. That being said, the japanese parts (except for that one line in the chorus) were sang quite odd. But I must still applaud him for his effort. Yoshiki looks amazing as usual and I like the ending when his hand was caressing the piano. :D

Somehow his emotions when singing this song is all wrong... especially the Japanese parts...This is a sad and painful song but he makes it sound...romantic and peaceful.... Maybe he just memorised the lyrics without understanding them. The English parts have a bit more of the right emotions in it..maybe cause he understood it. lol..

He won the Golden disk awards 3 times.(Only Two artists won 3 times.) He is one of the few 1990's singer who sold over 1 million CDs. He is considered the "Emperor of Ballad" in Korea.

But there isn't really a need to bash this guy just 'cause he sang it differently from Toshi. I think it isn't as bad as some people claimed it to be. And for some songs... emotions isn't a very easy thing to portray. This is obviously not an easy song to sing at all. Have you tried singing this song? Before bashing someone's skill level, make sure you can do it well first

I think Toshi's English is better than his! Compared to many Japanese vocalists, Toshi's English is pretty amazing actually. And I think this guy sounds soft because he is hitting low notes. Toshi sings a lot higher than that, and his voice is a lot stronger. Anyway, the original ones are always the best.

Jo Sung Mo had only about 2 weeks to learn and memorize this song, also Jo Sung Mo is one of the legend in Korea, I don't think if some singers from other country had to learn his song by 2 weeks and have them perfectly performed, i don't think they can do it.
