love this song i think it was perfect for Bruce n Kathy & the whole mystery of the batwoman. but this copy of the clip from the movie looks & sound a little off. like it's been played a little faster then normal. cause voices and pitch appears faster and higher then average

It's originally from theater, when the actors addressed the audience directly, thus ruining the suspension of belief that the imaginary fourth wall (the one between them and the audience) existed.

Movies and shows do most of the fourth wall breaking today, when characters display behavior as if they were aware that they're in a movie/show (talking to the audience, pointing out that this is a movie/show, etc).

If you want great examples, look up Deadpool.
