  • People should stop mentioning Coldplay in videos or posts about Radiohead. People are obviously going to be furious. Look, undoubtedly, Radiohead is way better than Coldplay. And it's true, Coldplay's early work was clearly influenced by Radiohead. They actually improved when they stopped channeling Radiohead. But anyway, Coldplay's songs are good to listen to, and the members aren't terrible at what they do, so stop mentioning Coldplay, for their own sake.

  • I just wanna grab this music and wear it as coat!

  • @Bingohas2

Are you kidding me dude? Ever heard of Arcade Fire?

  • its only raining when im outside

  • 317 people got confused because this is the thumbs down version

  • GRANDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII................

  • Amazing... just Radiohead

  • A friend once asked me why I listen to Radiohead and this song exemplifies my answer more than any other. They make me feel something. It doesn't matter if that something is sadness or ennui or something much more profound. Because sometimes it's important to feel something and I've never found a band who can even come close to doing that as well as Radiohead.

  • watch?v=GAlITHGEyo0

  • The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Radiohead. Why have all of the greatest bands of all-time come from England? What are you people smoking over there?

  • @Illadelphism must be something to do with the rain

  • don´t forget the Cure and Pink Floyd.I think about that question very often. Maybe it´s the weather,i don´t know...

  • @Illadelphism on these islands are some rich mushrooms do?

  • @Illadelphism but how could you forget to mention Pink Floyd????

  • @distantkomakino I absolutely could have mentioned many other great English bands. In my opinion though, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Radiohead are the most profound.

  • @Illadelphism

One of the best comment i've ever read on youtube

  • @Illadelphism And Queen

  • @Illadelphism Canada spawned Rush, but that's possibly the only good band they've ever spawned..

  • @Illadelphism

Fermented spider legs dipped in camel blood.

  • @Illadelphism Meh, that's in your opinion. Those 3 bands make good music in the taste of the western folks and those aren't the 3 best bands because there are also lots of good bands from the US and many other countrys. Bands from Azia and Africa aren't famous because they don't sing English. And added to that, they aren't as wealthy as the western countrys. To make a long story short: You're statement isn't right, that's why.

  • @TheJesperAble You are very simple-minded. Music is subjective; you like your music, I like my music. I was simply stating three incredible bands that, in my opinion, have played an integral role in shaping music as we know it today, and how odd of a coincidence it is that all three bands started off in England. Why does everyone have to come onto Youtube to spark arguments? You can't argue about something as subjective as music, and trying to do so only makes you look stupid. Have a nice life.

  • @Illadelphism I wasn't argueing about the music. I was argueing about your statement. I just make you think, that's all. Because in my opinion every argument has it's weakness and I enjoy myself finding those. I also like philosophy. I hope you understand why I comment now. And you're right I think they're 3 very good bands as well. But that doesn't mean their famous to the whole world.

  • @Illadelphism We have The Shins!

  • @ingeniosodonquijote Sorry, but let's agree to disagree. I personally believe The Shins and the three bands I mentioned should never be used in the same sentence. Again though, that's my opinion, and I still respect yours.

  • @Illadelphism Marijuana. Really good marijuana.

  • @Illadelphism Tea

  • @SamRemembersPluto and krimpets

  • @Illadelphism Coldplay is also from England, and don't know how you miss to mention it along with the others.

  • @30NIGHTCRAWLER30 Because no one will remember a band like Coldplay in 100 years. Sorry, but I consider it a sin to mention Coldplay and Radiohead in the same sentence. Listen to OK Computer (which came out in 1997) and then listen to Coldplay's Parachutes (which came out in '99). It's blatantly obvious that Coldplay is directly influenced by Radiohead. In short, Radiohead are the innovators, Coldplay are the imitators.

  • Comment removed

  • @Illadelphism please be informed that there're a quite difference in "influenced by" and "imitating",

all musicians have their own influence, even the beatles and the others,

the beatles influenced by indonesian band that play in netherland, CMIIW.

  • @Bhimbim021107 idd my friend...there is a huge diference!!

  • @Illadelphism bands speaking of epic bands. Of you2 saying? or Kings of leon? and Foo Fighters? I think they are definitely bands that passed into history

  • @beto1495o Pfffhahahaha! Thanks for the laugh!

  • @Illadelphism Not necessarily true. Just because a band is influenced by another band, doesn't mean that there imitating. That's like calling Led Zeppelin imitators of Jimi Hendrix, just because Jimmy Page was inspired by him.

  • @Illadelphism so fucking true, i was scared to look at the comments cause i know there would be a lot of dumb asses but you just restored my faith in the internet. Thank you.

  • @Illadelphism I get what you are saying and trust me, I love radiohead, but they themselves are obviously influenced by other bands (See: Nirvana, who were influenced by the Pixies, who were influenced by The Jesus and Mary Chain, who were influenced by Misfits). You can play this blame game all the way back the the Beatles, it doesn't make Coldplay any less of a worthy band.

  • @Illadelphism What are you talking about? No one will remember a band like coldplay? It is ridiculous to say a thing like that. I'm a HUGE radiohead fan. I'm also a HUGE coldplay fan. Coldplay got inspired by radiohead. Not immitated --> inspired. Big difference. Very superficial to think that a band like coldplay will just vanish. Coldplay is an awesome band who developed their own style (influenced by radiohead, as they acknowledge themselfs). I just ahh.. strongly disagree..

  • @Illadelphism Plus why is it always like; OOH RADIOHEAD IS SOO AWESSOMME SO COLDPLAY IS NOOOTTTTT. It's like saying Bach is the one and only and beethoven was forgotten (inspired by Bach, as every composer) in time. Ridiculous

  • @joelvangalen Let's enjoy the music and agree to disagree.

  • @joelvangalen Not as ridiculous as comparing Coldplay to Beethoven.

  • @Illadelphism First of all, Parachutes came out in 2000.

Second of all, Coldplay has made four albums since Parachutes and they have their own (happier) style : In My Place, The Scientist, Amsterdam, FixYou, Speed of Sound, Viva La Vida, Violet Hill, Charlie Brown and dozens of great songs have nothing to do with Radiohead.

Third of all, Tom Yorke respects Chris Martin (he congrats them after A Rush of Blood to The Head). Tom Yorke is "Chris Martin with a down syndrome".

    In short, you're wrong.

  • @Padmanakin Have you noticed that almost of Coldplay's Music sounds the same? Radiohead has the most diverse music, they explore areas of music that Coldplay cannot even comprehend, there's really no arguing with that. Furthermore, Thom Yorke is an absolute modern genius, Chris Martin...average I'd say

  • @Illadelphism Forgot about Queen, mate.

  • @Illadelphism Queen, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, Gorillaz, and Oasis too.

  • @Illadelphism dont forget oasis

  • @Illadelphism i do not know you and you do not know who i am. i do not know what you want and i do not want anything from you.

but i'll never forgive you for forgetting pink floyd in your fucking list

  • @Illadelphism FUCK LED ZEPELLIN.

  • @Illadelphism what about queen, black sabbath, pink floyd, the rolling stones, the police and deep purple?

  • @kiszka05 Pink Floyd is the besttt!

  • In Rainbows was just perfect

  • i still dont know why they put thumbs down in the title :L

  • I'm 14, I just wish I could have lived in a generation NOT full of man-whores with another slut around their arms listening to sounds that aren't even music, sounds that sound like when the freaking raccoons go in my recycling and knock everything over. Don't worry, if you're older and you have lost hope in MY generation, THERE ARE STILL A FEW ABLE-MINDED PEOPLE LEFT. :)

  • @Alexandraisaboss calm your tits, you're not the only young person listening to good music

  • @Chacha5678 That's why I said "There are a few"......

  • @Alexandraisaboss no, there's a lot more than just a few, it just doesn't really get advertised

  • @Alexandraisaboss Sush I'm 15 and I love Radiohead :3 The world is just to focused on the Hip Hop world they pay no mind to us and there's a lot of people like me and you.

    THIS MUSIC SHALL PREVAIL

  • @KnightChrome50 YOU are awesome, (: IT SO WILL PREVAIL

  • This music is fucking awesome

  • RADIOHEAD FOR PRESIDENTS OF THE WORLD!!!

  • Interesting fact: This song was an easter egg delay. In the same way High and Dry was recorded for Pablo Honey but left out for the Bends, this song was written and recorded for OK Computer but left out for a decade later. I believe the song you hear on the IR vinyl is the version recorded in 1997.

  • @SirGeorge8600

Cool fact, thanks for sharing. :)

  • This is how being a Radiohead fan goes

First listen: What the fuck is this crap

    Second listen: This is okay

Third listen: This is the best fucking song human beings have ever made

Fourth listen: I want to have sex with this song

Fifth listen: I had sex with this song

  • @MrPeguin666

You are exaggerating. it takes a while to really understand how much some of their song are good, like this one but i never thought this song was crappy or something like that

  • @MrPeguin666 definitely.

  • @MrPeguin666 lol so true! The sixth listen and beyond is the partner who gets hotter as they age, hence...more experienced and better sex!

  • @MrPeguin666 Yeah Lotus Flower was the first Radiohead song I'd ever listened to and when I heard it, I was like WHAT IS THIS BORING DRUM LOOP WITH THE SINGER I CAN'T HEAR WHAT THE HECK HES SAYIN!!! But now, 5 months later, I'm listening to it all the freakin time and even randomly breaking out in Thom Yorke dancing. Well, thats my story. (This song rules too. Best from in rainbows.)

  • @MrPeguin666 Yeah, at the start it is actually hard to get into Radiohead, thank heavens for My Iron Lung.

  • @MrPeguin666 Yet I'm sure you'd consider 'pop music' to only be so liked because it's been drummed into peoples heads so much.

Personally I've always liked this song. I don't have to force myself to listen to a song repeatedly to like it so I can consider myself a fan. What kinda sad fuck lives like that?

  • @MrPeguin666 I started at the 3rd step.

  • @MrObviouslyJesus I'm exaggerating obviously. I wouldn't listen to it if it was crap. It usually starts off kind of bland and boring, but not bad. The next day you wake up and it calls you back

  • @MrPeguin666 EXACTLY

  • @MrPeguin666 it's my fourth listening ! ... soon the fifth ...

  • @MrPeguin666 What if King of Limbs is like this too, and its going to be this big cultural bomb of collective realization sometime this year o.O

  • @MrPeguin666 Sixth listen: I cum to this song understanding this is all about eargasm!

  • @MrPeguin666 Man you summed it up perfectly

  • @MrPeguin666 Why was first lesson "What the fuck is this crap?"...it was amazing from my first listen...

  • @parkourandguitars i was just kidding. but it does get better and better as you listen more

  • @MrPeguin666

NO NOT FER ME...I HAD SEX W THIS SONG FIRST TIME AROUND..

  • @MrPeguin666 EXACTLY

  • GAMATOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have goosebumps.... aaand my nipples are hard.

  • @ameh01 hahahahahahahaahahaahhahahahahahaaha loved your comment! xD

  • why does Radiohead make my head feel funny...like I'm on drugs or something? Just looking at Thom Yorke makes me feel like I'm on drugs..

  • I find myself turning my head with the camera...

  • Watching Thom Yorke always makes me jones for narcotics. I think they mean me to, but I can't tell since I'm already predisposed.

  • radiohead always plays my favorite songs :D

  • how i love Jonny *-*

  • Comment removed

  • after all, what is up with his eye thingy?

  • 310 People took the video title too literally.

  • @cursedswordsman acceptable

  • I think Thom's puposely trying to make us nauseous

  • I'm stuck. Do I thumbs this down or not?
