Hopefully it wouldn't turn into just another Prototype/Infamous clone. Those games got boring WAY too fast. Just running around doing the same shit, over, and OVER again until your rewarded with, more of the same shit, over and over lol. Everywhere looking exactly the same (ESPECIALLY prototype! there must have been 10 unique buildings in that game, in a city of over 100 LOL). I wish they'd make a PS3 version tho. Maybe by the same production team as ZOE 1 & 2

this game would work best as a really hard xcom style game.. just add a lot more variety than xcom and make the people that come to the room and the alien battle random..  rules would be that 1 person must survive and aliens down.. turn based, unfair difficulty and no possibility for saving.. Looks like a fun action game; But I'm sure if you only play it for the sake of gantz you'd be disappointed. I mean, in a fast paced action game like that you really wont get that same feeling of anxiety you get reading the manga or watching the anime. I mean they do a real good job of making you feel sad over their deaths and etc.

@TODhaseo If they made an MMO they would have to make it hardcore, like if you die that's it unless you have a friend who can get 100 points and revive you. 100 pointers would have to have some sort of special ability or weak spot that you have to figure out without the game holding your hand. If they basically made it faithful to the show rather than making it a typical MMO, it would own.

The anime version had a premature ending, where everyone indeed dies. This game is based off the manga, where the story goes on. The alien you see there doesn't even show up in the anime.

what would be cool would be a gantz RPG, where your characters are random people who have died and find themselves in gantz: you will have a large number of characters and many will die, sorting the wheat from the chaff and eventually leaving you with a stable team of characters, similarly to the manga, which develops a stable cast

yes, that was a filler ending. The manga goes on differently, the final mission in the anime is not in the manga, instead Kei fails his solo mission, has to start again. At some point, there is a masacre in the city centre, which brings in new characters. The nature of Gantz means that new characters can be generated at will without much need for a backstory or anything. Read the manga, you will see that it works out :D

The filler was absolute cock. Worst ending ever. Ignore it!

it depends on HOW you play ;)

if you're good, you can for example protect Kishimoto from death and even date with her - or any other girl of the series.

if you're a pro ( like this guy o_O ) you can protect EVERYONE ! ^^

but if you're a lame-o like me, some characters die on the adventure... ;_; that's a very cool aspect of the gameplay. i was able to protect some chars, not all though.

yeah I could, but when I already read them I dont know if I'd spend the money for the novels, although I'd like them to have in my collection cause I'm a bit of a collector. Maybe I will buy the english novels as import, since all my anime dvds are either english or japanease. You never get box sets in germany, only like dvds with 4 episodes which cost u a hell lot of money. German dubs suck anyway. Sometimes even the english sucks, for example naruto
