sega always it was the best at the most genes of games especialy fighting racing bring back fighting vipers 3 you fuckers its a shame that tekken exist and not fv
People need to stop these stupid biased posts. Both DC and PS2 were awesome. Quit being butthurt crybabies because Sega released the Dreamcast at the wrong time (just like Sony did later with the PS3, IMO).
@MrSpineTelevision I agree with the most of your post, but do you have any evidence that PS2 was superior ? You can't have, some PS2 games are pretty impressive (Tekken 5, MGS 3, Shadow of the Colossus) but they all came out after the Dreamcast death. The only thing we can be sure is that PS2 is better and lighting effects. And the other thing I'm sure is that DC's textures quality is better and can be compared with NGC or Xbox. And DC hasn't aliasing issues...
Next year, I want to see Fighting Vipers 3. It's been a long time for Fighting Vipers 2. I want to see 4 new vipers. I hope they make Fighting Vipers 3. Who hopes for Fighting Vipers 3?
it's sad seeing how tekken surpassed sega fighting titles. Sega started it first and back then I was like "what is this virtua fighter clone crap?". Fighting Vipers was one of my fave. Unique gameplay and fighting system. Sega should get a sequel for this.
Man I have the first for Saturn but I never got my hands on this let alone hear of it. DX Is there anything im missing on this that isnt on the first one besides the new Characters and improved graphics and voices?
Would'nt wearing inline skates just impair your fighting ability even more...? :p Let alone a bike for that matter. Like seriously only pansies use their skateboards to beat someone up. :p
I'm so PISSED this never got released in the states while the dreamcast was still alive. I would slaughter the infants of a thousand suns to have a working dreamcast and this game. T_T
@ssonic15 yup, and DC games are stupid easy to bootleg. Get the free trial of DiscJuggler and head on over to snesorama (google it) or dcisozone and grab it. You could also go through the trouble of buying it and having to use a boot disc for region swapping.
just watched the vid ... the opponents don't really put up a fight ... but the 1st player (or players) are insane (or so i believe, since it's hard to tell, with those opponents) where the heck was this recorded ? the mahler vs sanman part is fucking epic
shit, why do so few people have this ? just one of my friends plays it (which is amazing considering how few people in germany are into beat em ups ... except maybe fucking SF -.-), but he's actually a RPG fan, so we don't really come around to play it very often >_> how i miss those past matches. have to bug him to play with me again. anyone here actually has someone to plaz against ? just curious ...
@Otacore Yo, i would love to play this game against you. I Have a Dreamcast with a brand new copy of this together 2 new arcade sticks. Chilling in the crib with some drank. If u want to come over be welcome, but do know i live in the Netherlands.
The only game where you can punt your opponent through a steel cage and into a fucking cactus. And to think that I never realized there was a sequel until now.
IMO, this game was a dissapointment to the FV series. It could of been...no, SHOULD of been better. It just seemed like such a half ass attempt of a sequel. This is the reason why there is no part 3. And its also the reason why they need to make a 3rd one, if they still have respect for the Fighting Vipers franchise.
AM2 makes some awesome games. I still play this and Die Hard arcade from time to time. Too bad the Dreamcast never caught on, because it was the superior system and had even more potential than the Ps2 at the time.
graphics could have been better at the time, this would have fitted better when the levels and the muci was more intresting like the 1st but better a 3rd one wil do right i think.
I was always mad as hell that they never released this in the U.S. I thought sega would at least have some loyalty to Saturn/Dremcast consumers. Sega is like a bad father that gets drunk on your birthday, shows up at thhe end of your party with no present......then he beats your mom!
Or maybe it had something to do with a lack of sales on the US market?
Just think of it this way; would you rather release something in Japan where you can actualy make your moneys worth, or in the US where these systems and games were tanking in sales?
If you were running Sega you wouldn't want to invest money to put out something in America if it wasn't going to sell.
You'd be spending money to release it in the US and not make the quota in profit.
it was actually an arcade perfect port, i believe (VF3 ran on the same hardware as FV2, and VF3 was arcade perfect) i've never seen the AC version in action, but it looks very much like the DC port
I heard VF3 wasn't an arcade perfect port for the Dreamcast which was also true for FV2. I think both games were based on Sega's Model 3 arcade hardware, which is different than the DC hardware, so they look pretty close, but there are graphical differences.
Actually, yeah you're right. I know DC was based off of NAOMI, but I heard games that ran on Model 3 were arcade perfect (maybe true, graphics aside.)
Super K.O works in two way - 1. Finish move f+P+K+G and second way - take some energy if you drop armor. BTW i'm wait for FV3 ;) Damm Great movie !! Shame that FV2 dont have a replay save..
fighting vipers would totally come back if they just minisculely improved the graphics and get some rights to Skid Row for the sound track.
Nothing like rowdy high school and college aged teenagers donning armor and beating the shit out of each other!

this game is just as good as and fun as virtua fighter series. why sega didn't carry on with the fighting vipers games is beyond me.
they need to do that- not just release sonic, virtua fighter titles.
