Beer would definately make Talisman more interesting for me. I've tried playing it a couple times with my hubby and our friends, and wow that was very arduous and boring. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Although I'd probably fall asleep even faster drinking, I'm such a lightweight. lol

I did like playing a game called "Tales of the Arabian Nights" by Z-man games and Pandemic was ok too. I did like the artwork of Talisman, much better them my lame stick figures.
