It's probably too late, but for future reference, using the hammer you get from the Fire Temple can really shorten Phantom Ganon's already short life span quickly by consecutively hitting him. You can also use the hammer to deflect his attacks too. This worked on the 64.

@AdamzoneTopMarks Ah, but oh no Sir Chap. What he is referring to is what could be described as an UNBREAKABLE Giant's Knife. Biggoron Sword is the massive weapon which I find extremely useful in most situations, which is why I hardly ever switch to the Master Sword when I collect the item.

@FlameDragon400 Yeah- I noticed that too! I think it was to let you know you should get the Prelude of Light from Sheik before going to the next temple. She didn't say anything about it in the N64 version, and a lot of people didn't know they were supposed to return there to get a warp song.
