@MrS13slide meh that would just remove the apex seals faster... this car already had missing apex seals... why the rx7 is horrible at cold start is because its seals need to warm up to make compression

I don't know how i feel about this... :D On one hand, it was cool to see a RL stress-test of a 13B, but at the same time I kinda feel bad, since replacement housings aren't cheap these days, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the internals are ruined too...

The motor was trash anyhow. It had over heated and the rear rotor was toast. This thing ran like this while dumping fuel down a useless rotor housing and firing only on the front.

rotary's are a small jet engine basically, the harder you work them the better it runs, if the coolant seal wouldn't have busted, it would have NEVER blown. What a waste though, nothing sounds better than a rotary with a cat-back.

If it was a shit engine it woudnt of been Engine of the Year 2005. And if it was as shit as V8 lovers say they are it woundnt still be around 51 years after it was first made. Felix Wankel invented the rotary and made his first concept in 1954. Its a pukka engine I think.

Possibly from modifying the car wrong.Anyhow Your engine didnt "Blow" til well you overheated it you MORON! This is a testament to the durability of the rotary engine. I remember this from back in the day.

For all of you criticizing the fact they "wasted an engine", the engine was already ruined. It needed a rebuild if they hadn't done this. That's what makes this so amazing. The engine was already shot, and it still ran this long.

Relax, it was replaced with a turbo 13B, not a V8 :)
