I remember spending hours in this game... IT WAS EXELENT!!!

I was like 15 years old when I started playing it... at that time it was an exelent grafhics and stuff... well, I join the propose of mailing "the Fat Man" to release this song... is cool, and it would be grat to drive while listening because I could feel like im flying and F-4!!!

I was just gonna say cool I remember playing this as a kid. We did not liberate Vietnam... We fought the NV communists and kept their asses at bay for ten years, creaming their Army time and again in the same fields over and over again. If our dear hippie commie countrymen would had given us their "permission" we would have conquered NV and left. But, in retrospect, the Vietnamese understood their mistake, and have adopted capitalism and our now our partners.

the bombings had never made a nation surrender, hanoi recived as many bombs as germany and japan in wwii and nothing happend, you can bomb a third world country without results. The bombings of london, germany japan and russia were useless in terms of the population moral and a city reduced to rubbles is harder to take, if the US had bombed baghdad as you say the rubbles would be good as strongholds, killing zones for Gis and ideal for planting booby traps as happend in stalingrad and leningrad

The bombings in WWII were mostly indiscriminate due to the lack of efficient/ reliable targeting tech. i.e., my g-dad had to take cover every time there was a bombing raid in Germany despite the fact he wasn't near any military target. Japan had 2 nukes dropped killing thousands and bringing the empire to their knees. Vietnam, we had targeting tech but no balls. Iraq, our tech is as good as it gets, INTEL is so so, and our only enemy is the media. Bombing CAN change the direction of a war.

This is a great game. Even though there might be some opinions to be had about the Vietnam War, the Vietnam Campaign of USNF '97 was truly awesome.

It may be only a flight sim, but Vietnam´s Campaing in the game is a good demonstration for US navy and air force that bvr missiles themselves do not win an aerial combat, even technology has been grown up. Try to make it through with missiles only.

You can buy it on ebay anytime.. it doesn't work to well on XP, keeps locking up. Even with available patches. So I have to run it on Windows 98 with my Voodoo 5000.
