Watch UFC and get into a fight. If it lasts more than 30 seconds you are both amateurs. I nor others are allowed to do proper challenges due to most countrys not allowing no-holds bar fights. I have down MMA and like its standup though it is riskyer in injury. The weakness in Karate and TKD is the mcdojos and lack of full contact and ironically the avoidance of street fights by the higher levels thus losing real world experience.
Grandmaster Gichin Funakoshi(main and co-founder of Shotokan Karate) was in one known street fight in his life. He grabbed the attackers testicles, held and twisted, the guy passed out from the pain after flailing like crazy. He handed the guy to the police( hopefully not by the testicles)=point made. A woman may not have that, but the bone structure, reflexs, muscle cells, balance, etc... inferior+weak to groin attack too. Most soldiers punch guy in face or get help from friend with gun in war.
M.M.A. is a sport. I watch it and enjoy it. Its standup is close to a street fight, and Anderson Silva and especially Lyoto Machida kick ass. Most submissions take time in the UFC, minutes after minutes of bs ground fighting. Further, you are talking about techniques that aren't of bjj. I critized its ground game because aside from tackling(wrestling and instinct really) or sweeps(from Judo, not BJJ) it is all ground. You think the most chaotic part of street fighting can be conquered...ROFL. Breaking the opponents are across the shoulder for example is original Ju jitsu and later Judo, aikido, hapkido, and is in original karate and tkd. Do research and stop basing effectiveness on MMA or unskilled opponents.
BJJ is not all on the ground that is a common misconception. BJJ is actually a self defense art and has many of the throws that are also included in judo. throws and takedowns are far more effective than strikes when you close the distance you opponent wont be able to strike you and then there in the grapplers world. where do you get this idea about chokes only working when your opponent is already wounded its totally untrue. a choke will work whatever the situation.
The throws are Judo, so some Judo is taught at BJJ dojos...ok it is still not BJJ and is often mislabeled as such. How often do you knock somebody out or cripple them with a takedown or even a judo throw? Only if you are by far superior in conditioning. A choke is risky. You have eyes, a throat, a groin, pressure points, and the deadlist physical thing...YOUR TEETH!
you clearly have no idea about grappling do you! please explain to me how your going to gouge my eyes or balls when in choking you and even if you did ive only got to hang on for a few seconds untill you pass out. when applying the majority of chokes im either behind you or if not ive got superiour positioing and have one or both of your arms in my control as im choking you leaving you unable to free yourself or gouge me etc.
LOL do you seriously belive that the deadliest attck you can do is with your teeth? youre either a vampire or got special needs if you belive this!!! human teeth are pretty poor compared to anyother meat eating animal our teeth do hardly any damage compared to a dogs for example. ive seem plenty of people be koed by judo thows how many have you see get knocked out by a bite?? you watch to many kung fu movies i hope you never get in as real fight.
Oh, another BJJ hater who says that because BJJ competitions don't allow biting or eye gouging that it's not a street fighting art. Do you guys ever get tired of posting your dribble?
Do you ever get tired of defending your homosexual fighting style? BJJ doesn't work in real life against someone with actual training or someone prepared to do anything to win. Get used to it.
I keep asking you what street lethal style you practice and you refuse to answer the question. therefore, I can only assume you don't train at all. And since BJJ has been proven time and again on the streets of Brazil (a point you keep ignoring) and in the ring and cage against highly trained fighters, I can only assume you are delusional.
Lol I won't give you the satisfaction of insulting my art you pathetic loser. I'll put it quite simply. In a street fight for your life you can't think straight; everything you do is instinct and reaction based. You train everyday against people who play fair and follow rules. I train everyday against someone trying to kill me by any means necessary. See the advantage? You aren't trained to deal with heel palms, chops, or elbows to the face, so what makes you think you'd be ready for them?
Go and watch the damn footage of the Gracies taking down one fighter after another. All the moves you mention were legal in those fights and it didn't matter! In BJJ, we train to take people down without getting hit.
Obviously not because if they had been they would've used them or countless other techniques that are against your rules. You think closing the distance and wrapping people up wins the fight. In Kung Fu you have more powerful techniques available to you the closer your opponent is. You're walking right into their power house. You'd have to train to win without getting hit because you never get hit in training, which means you're weak and don't know how to take a hit.
Anyone who takes youtube fight videos seriously is fucking retarded. BJJ is beaten time and time again in every form of competition, yet you seem to think the only way to beat BJJ is to be better at BJJ than your opponent. That is the logic of a four year old.
Do you realize how unscientific you are? You dismiss the evidence as invalid, but then refuse to provide any evidence of your own? You bash BJJ, but then refuse to name your art because you don't want it bashed, which means you must not have any confidence in it. If there are so many videos of your art beating BJJ, by all means post the links.
Because only fools like the Gracies run their mouth off about how good their system is. My system isn't well known and that's how I want to keep it. We can't have idiots like you running around knowing how to kill people right?
Here I'll put it in kindergarten terms your primitive mind can understand. Your BJJ is like paper. You seem to think the only way to beat paper is to "wrap it up" with bigger paper. I use a different style called scissors that cut right through your paper.
Then please post a video of your deadly style beating a bJJ fighter. Talk is cheap. BJJ doesn't need talk because there are 100 or more videos of it proving itself. Your level of reasoning is fit for Kindergarten.
Hand picked videos of hand picked fights where the Gracies are even in better shape to boot. The early UFCs where propoganda and BJJ is nothing more than a secondary base for sport fighting in MMA, simple. Try TKD, Karate, Maui Thai, Judo, original Jujitsu, etc... for real martial arts :)
Jason Delucia is not Kung Fu and most Kung Fu fighters are watered down. Further, TKD, Karate, Maui Thai, etc.. .are ultimately forms of Kung Fu modified in their home countries.
I have, they are hand picked under sport rules. Martial arts are designed for war fare, NOT SPORT. You want to disprove a martial art, find fighters who are relatively equal conditioned and have them fight to the death in various areas, simple.
"BJJ throws"?! That is all weakened Judo you idiot. Takedowns more effective than strikes, suicidal nutcase. You had better hope you are wearing armor and/or the guys is that inferior...a choke will work whatever the....are you a BJJ pamplet?
If my opponent is on his back on the ground and I am on top, I will simply get up on my feet and kick him in the head.I will never go for a choke/armbar etc on the street.
Once question,do you even know how to execute those? BJJ shows you how to fight on your back, and KEEP the person on top ON the ground,Full guard. I have had expirience. I went to a Club with my friends, and we are all Trained MMA fighters, and this guy who thinks I was talking to his girl, tries to do a flashy trip,I grip his shirt, and bring him down,he tried to stand up,I had him in my Full guard,I quickly swirfed around,he was throwing punched btw,and I did an armbar from the bottom. Broke it.
2.You used ground and pound, a universal way of fighting.
3. He should have simply grabbed your groin.
4.You got lucky.
5.You obviously had way better conditioning. Superior conditioning beats superior technique most of the time. That is because the body is so fast and fierce that the mind lags. Attack is quicker than defense. I never said it was impossible, a cross over armlock(Judo) is the one with the best chance, you did it with inferior tech however.
grabbing the groin is risky, you would guess where its at In my pants, and by that time I could snap your fucking arm,or choke you out. What your saying has already been disproved By Royce Gracie who had supirior technique, and was smaller than his opponents. My BJJ school is taught under a Royce Gracie Black Belt from Brazil, who also has a BB in Judo,so also teaches Judo throws, and takedowns. Its easier to get hit in the balls when standing, you got lucky? lol ok. and Superior technique will
1.Defense is slower than attack.2.You lose almost all thought and yes I have had my balls grabbed but I was lucky and it was many people fighting each other and got help.3.Royce was one of the best BJJ guys in superb shape fighting sport fighters in a sport contest.Big deal.Superior conditioning beats superior techniqueTo have both is to be a real master.Superior tech needs to have a body to imploy it.Even inferior tech is powerful due to the male body. Look at how slow BJJ is under sport even.
lol go down to your local bjj dojo and see how some kid or woman would choke you out with ease. grappling arts rely on tech not conditioning look at kano and helio gracie they were small skinny guys who could beat much larger opponents because of their superior technical ability.
Right right, lets just forget that he has lost matches and that is under all those sport rules which can help BJJ. And how often even in sport do you see a man lose to a woman or a child unless he is in piss poor shape. AND HOW FUCKING DARE YOU TALK OF GRANDMASTER JIGURO KANO, THE FOUNDER OF JUDO IN SUCH A WAY! The ground combat is only to be used against an unskiled and/or weakened opponent was his doctrine you fucking fool!!!
um i dont think so some how. ive studied judo for 7 years and ive always been taught that chokes are a quick and effecient method of ending fights. to avoid being choked out you must be skilled in the grappling arts being skilled in karate or muay thai will not teach you how to defend against submissions. even skilled grapplers will get choked out by other skillled grapplers so your point doesnt stand. you know nothing about ground fighting .
Lol I've come to the conclusion that you don't even train in BJJ, you're just a UFC fan boy who bought into the myth and likes to come on here to watch fight videos and talk shit. If you knew anything about fighting you'd know it is illegal to film real fights which is why the only fights on youtube are organized fights. Real fights are best kept away from your innocent eyes.
Always an excuse for not posting a video isn't there? Why is it hard to believe I train in BJJ. It's a well established style that exists. You won't even name you style.
Just by the things you say. I can tell you have no formal training in anything, you just know the things they tell you in these stupid instructional videos. And even if you do, you're probably just a big mouth purple belt.
A purple belt in BJJ takes between 4 to 6 years to acquire for your information, which is more than most styles require for black belt. Being accused of having no formal training is a laugh from someone who won't even name his style.
Haha that's just to keep you there longer to make more money for their mcdojo. BJJ doesn't even have that much material to require it to take that long to learn and master. Going by your suggested time periods it would take 12 years of training to reach Black Belt. What a waste of time and money. They want you to spend years training with your partners so you know each other's bodies and become emotionally attached and eventually homosexual. Fag
If your goal is only to reach black belt, then stick with your lying sifu. Most of us train for life, not just to get a belt. But a BJJ purple belt already has a more effective self defense arsenal than most black belts.
Haha I'm just saying your system is completely flawed because you have such a small amount of material but stretch it out over years and years. My style takes decades to reach higher degrees of black belt, but that's because you could spend your whole lifetime learning it and still not know all the thousands of techniques. Your style is a waste of time.
Now you are showing a whole new level of ignorance. BJJ is infinite. New moves are being invented all the time. Spend some time on YouTube and you will see for yourself. Unlike traditional arts, this is an art that is constantly evolving. But since you don't actually trai
Haha you mean you're showing your ignorance. You act like BJJ is something new. Those moves have existed for decades, way before the Gracies. People were using "BJJ" when the Gracies were still shitting in their diapers. As for making new moves, I agree. I mean having sex the same way gets boring, you gotta come up with new positions to keep your partner interested, right?
You keep telling me to spend time on youtube. Is there where you do your "training"? No martial art can be learned through reading or watching tapes. The fact that most of your ridiculous system is available online just shows it's equality with tae bo.
I'm saying Youtube can show you the diversity of bjj technique, and yes, videos can be used as a supplement formal training at a good school. Of course, since you won't even name your style, I can assume it do4esn't exist.
No they can't. Anyone with a brain will tell you not to watch martial arts videos for training purposes. Obviously you don't have a brain. And just to piss you off more, my style actually does have some videos on youtube. If only you knew the name...
@wiggalama Nicely said, but actually boxing or wrestling is not "instinctive" in the way that you make it seem to be. "Punching" is instinctive but "boxing" is an art that you actually have to learn. Anyone can throw punches, but not everyone can actually "box". Boxers are not born boxers, they are created. You are not born with the sweet science. You're born with the ability to swing but not to actually box, The same with wrestling. There are techniques you have to learn and perfect.
hhhmm... there are big fundamental mistakes here and teaches life threating wrong concepts to defender if we are talking about street fighting. It should never ever be threated as two man submssion contest
He doesn't treat it like a sub match. The whole series deals with fights that involve groundwork and acknowledges the need to be able to stand up and address other potential opponents.
And guess what? There are many real life examples of this material working in:
1. Fights
2. Defending against criminal assaults
3. Police work
4. Lethal military h2h engagements (see the book "House to House" by Silver Star winner David Bellavia for an example of a life and death groundfight in Fallujah)
Sorry but he does,if this if for personal safetly for non military/police etc. person.
which is of course totally potentially dangerous stay on the ground and to star tdoing sub work, potential for friends coming to stab/hit with bottle/kick are far too great, home invasion and such sitaution is of course different
You have to be clear to whom you are aiming the technique, military/non military/police etc., different aim etc...
Your number 4 is the most misguided justification of them all since out
how many casulties in modern war comes groundfighting. I will let you on in a little secret, wars are fought with guns/knifes weapons, with hands these days, nt so much :-) .
Simple truth about , don't stay on the ground , get up as fast as you can. Don't ever think it' one on one match....
I'm not going to deny that h2his relatively rare in modern combat. It does happen though, particularly in urban COIN ops. When it does happen it is likely to be at clinch/ground range. If someone isn't getting shot it's ussually because you are a) trying to detain or b) They are too close for u deploy a weapon.
In the specific example I gave there was gouging, dick biting, bludgeoning, and eventually stabbing. The winner was still the one who held the mount position on a stronger opponent.
The purpose of the video is seems to be simply to show how your BJJ techniques can be altered to be more useful outside of a sport or art context.
It's the responsibility of the viewer to decide where it best applies.
He doesn't spend his time his time explaining how to do an armbar, choke, etc. because the viewer is expected to know it already. Likewise, it's also expected that they know about awareness, avoidance, common sense, etc.
BJJ is always taught from both a self-defence perspective and a sports perspective. The strategy changes; but generally the concepts and techniques remain the same.
More propaganda. ALL STREET FIGHTS ARE LIFE AND DEATH. STOP BASING A STYLE ON WHAT IS ALLOWED IN SPARRING OR WHAT YOU SEE IN SPORT FOOL. The only things that work in "BJJ' are things not originally BJJ such as tackling (occasionally), sweeps(Jujitsu and Judo work only if past strike), chokes or armlock(only if unskilled or weakened consciously such as you punched the fuck out of him).
Some street fights are life or death, others aren't. The experience to know the difference usually isn't possessed by people yelling about "teh d3adly" in all caps.
That you also referred to tackles not takedowns and didn't mention positional strategy suggests that you aren't all that knowledgeable about BJJ either.
If you hold back or hesitate on the most efficient foe, all it takes is that one slight opening and the foe underestimated will take full advantage. Your life is not just yours alone, think of your family without you because you got killed in your underestimation. It is better to go to jail for manslaughter(as some states may do for some years or less) than to die because you thought it was just for injuring.
You wouldn't know self-defense from a street fight from a professional use of force if they all cornered you in the shower and gave you a brazilian gang rape Wiggles.
I could write a novel length dissertation about how nearly everything you've flooded these comments with is either seriously distorted or flat out wrong, but I really don't feel like trying to keep your four dozen odd posts straight.
You go ahead with your girl view of street fighting while I laugh at your corspe your corpse when you go for a knee bar and get your balls crushed and then beaten to death :) I already got a doctrite on kicking your ass YouTube style, let us hope we meet in real life :)
You again? Doctrite Lama Wigga? Sure, I hope we meet in real life too.
By the way Doctrite, how does a corpse attempt a kneebar, and how would one reach the groin of someone who had locked a kneebar on them? Both seem anatomically implausible.
@futboldeargentina No they don't. that video just shows one person defeating one guy. it doesn't prove anything. styles don't fighters fight.

LOL do you seriously belive that the deadliest attck you can do is with your teeth? youre either a vampire or got special needs if you belive this!!! human teeth are pretty poor compared to anyother meat eating animal our teeth do hardly any damage compared to a dogs for example. ive seem plenty of people be koed by judo thows how many have you see get knocked out by a bite?? you watch to many kung fu movies i hope you never get in as real fight.
tyebo87 2 years ago
Oh, another BJJ hater who says that because BJJ competitions don't allow biting or eye gouging that it's not a street fighting art. Do you guys ever get tired of posting your dribble?
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Do you ever get tired of defending your homosexual fighting style? BJJ doesn't work in real life against someone with actual training or someone prepared to do anything to win. Get used to it.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
I keep asking you what street lethal style you practice and you refuse to answer the question. therefore, I can only assume you don't train at all. And since BJJ has been proven time and again on the streets of Brazil (a point you keep ignoring) and in the ring and cage against highly trained fighters, I can only assume you are delusional.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Lol I won't give you the satisfaction of insulting my art you pathetic loser. I'll put it quite simply. In a street fight for your life you can't think straight; everything you do is instinct and reaction based. You train everyday against people who play fair and follow rules. I train everyday against someone trying to kill me by any means necessary. See the advantage? You aren't trained to deal with heel palms, chops, or elbows to the face, so what makes you think you'd be ready for them?
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
Go and watch the damn footage of the Gracies taking down one fighter after another. All the moves you mention were legal in those fights and it didn't matter! In BJJ, we train to take people down without getting hit.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Obviously not because if they had been they would've used them or countless other techniques that are against your rules. You think closing the distance and wrapping people up wins the fight. In Kung Fu you have more powerful techniques available to you the closer your opponent is. You're walking right into their power house. You'd have to train to win without getting hit because you never get hit in training, which means you're weak and don't know how to take a hit.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
And yet video after video shows BJJ defeating Kung Fu which means you are in denial.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Anyone who takes youtube fight videos seriously is fucking retarded. BJJ is beaten time and time again in every form of competition, yet you seem to think the only way to beat BJJ is to be better at BJJ than your opponent. That is the logic of a four year old.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
Do you realize how unscientific you are? You dismiss the evidence as invalid, but then refuse to provide any evidence of your own? You bash BJJ, but then refuse to name your art because you don't want it bashed, which means you must not have any confidence in it. If there are so many videos of your art beating BJJ, by all means post the links.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Because only fools like the Gracies run their mouth off about how good their system is. My system isn't well known and that's how I want to keep it. We can't have idiots like you running around knowing how to kill people right?
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
Those "fools" would hand you your ass on a silver platter.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
At least you didn't say they would "kick my ass" again cause we already concluded that bjj fags can't even kick.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
And you can't grapple, so you will be in a world of shit when they take you down.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Here I'll put it in kindergarten terms your primitive mind can understand. Your BJJ is like paper. You seem to think the only way to beat paper is to "wrap it up" with bigger paper. I use a different style called scissors that cut right through your paper.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
And then I drink your milk shake.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
Then please post a video of your deadly style beating a bJJ fighter. Talk is cheap. BJJ doesn't need talk because there are 100 or more videos of it proving itself. Your level of reasoning is fit for Kindergarten.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Hand picked videos of hand picked fights where the Gracies are even in better shape to boot. The early UFCs where propoganda and BJJ is nothing more than a secondary base for sport fighting in MMA, simple. Try TKD, Karate, Maui Thai, Judo, original Jujitsu, etc... for real martial arts :)
wiggalama 2 years ago
Jason Delucia is not Kung Fu and most Kung Fu fighters are watered down. Further, TKD, Karate, Maui Thai, etc.. .are ultimately forms of Kung Fu modified in their home countries.
wiggalama 2 years ago
I have, they are hand picked under sport rules. Martial arts are designed for war fare, NOT SPORT. You want to disprove a martial art, find fighters who are relatively equal conditioned and have them fight to the death in various areas, simple.
wiggalama 2 years ago
"BJJ throws"?! That is all weakened Judo you idiot. Takedowns more effective than strikes, suicidal nutcase. You had better hope you are wearing armor and/or the guys is that inferior...a choke will work whatever the....are you a BJJ pamplet?
wiggalama 2 years ago
great series of videos.

If my opponent is on his back on the ground and I am on top, I will simply get up on my feet and kick him in the head.I will never go for a choke/armbar etc on the street.
SusovanGhosh 3 years ago
Once question,do you even know how to execute those? BJJ shows you how to fight on your back, and KEEP the person on top ON the ground,Full guard. I have had expirience. I went to a Club with my friends, and we are all Trained MMA fighters, and this guy who thinks I was talking to his girl, tries to do a flashy trip,I grip his shirt, and bring him down,he tried to stand up,I had him in my Full guard,I quickly swirfed around,he was throwing punched btw,and I did an armbar from the bottom. Broke it.
yeee941 3 years ago
1.Unskilled opponent.
I never said it was impossible, a cross over armlock(Judo) is the one with the best chance, you did it with inferior tech however.
wiggalama 2 years ago
grabbing the groin is risky, you would guess where its at In my pants, and by that time I could snap your fucking arm,or choke you out. What your saying has already been disproved By Royce Gracie who had supirior technique, and was smaller than his opponents. My BJJ school is taught under a Royce Gracie Black Belt from Brazil, who also has a BB in Judo,so also teaches Judo throws, and takedowns. Its easier to get hit in the balls when standing, you got lucky? lol ok. and Superior technique will
yeee941 2 years ago
1.Defense is slower than attack.2.You lose almost all thought and yes I have had my balls grabbed but I was lucky and it was many people fighting each other and got help.3.Royce was one of the best BJJ guys in superb shape fighting sport fighters in a sport contest.Big deal.Superior conditioning beats superior techniqueTo have both is to be a real master.Superior tech needs to have a body to imploy it.Even inferior tech is powerful due to the male body. Look at how slow BJJ is under sport even.
wiggalama 2 years ago
lol go down to your local bjj dojo and see how some kid or woman would choke you out with ease. grappling arts rely on tech not conditioning look at kano and helio gracie they were small skinny guys who could beat much larger opponents because of their superior technical ability.
tyebo87 2 years ago
Right right, lets just forget that he has lost matches and that is under all those sport rules which can help BJJ. And how often even in sport do you see a man lose to a woman or a child unless he is in piss poor shape. AND HOW FUCKING DARE YOU TALK OF GRANDMASTER JIGURO KANO, THE FOUNDER OF JUDO IN SUCH A WAY! The ground combat is only to be used against an unskiled and/or weakened opponent was his doctrine you fucking fool!!!
wiggalama 2 years ago
um i dont think so some how. ive studied judo for 7 years and ive always been taught that chokes are a quick and effecient method of ending fights. to avoid being choked out you must be skilled in the grappling arts being skilled in karate or muay thai will not teach you how to defend against submissions. even skilled grapplers will get choked out by other skillled grapplers so your point doesnt stand. you know nothing about ground fighting .
tyebo87 2 years ago
Your Judo master is a McDojo teacher :)
wiggalama 2 years ago
When someone is on top smashing your face in, go ahead and try your groin grab.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Lol I've come to the conclusion that you don't even train in BJJ, you're just a UFC fan boy who bought into the myth and likes to come on here to watch fight videos and talk shit. If you knew anything about fighting you'd know it is illegal to film real fights which is why the only fights on youtube are organized fights. Real fights are best kept away from your innocent eyes.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
Always an excuse for not posting a video isn't there? Why is it hard to believe I train in BJJ. It's a well established style that exists. You won't even name you style.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Just by the things you say. I can tell you have no formal training in anything, you just know the things they tell you in these stupid instructional videos. And even if you do, you're probably just a big mouth purple belt.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
A purple belt in BJJ takes between 4 to 6 years to acquire for your information, which is more than most styles require for black belt. Being accused of having no formal training is a laugh from someone who won't even name his style.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Haha that's just to keep you there longer to make more money for their mcdojo. BJJ doesn't even have that much material to require it to take that long to learn and master. Going by your suggested time periods it would take 12 years of training to reach Black Belt. What a waste of time and money. They want you to spend years training with your partners so you know each other's bodies and become emotionally attached and eventually homosexual. Fag
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
If your goal is only to reach black belt, then stick with your lying sifu. Most of us train for life, not just to get a belt. But a BJJ purple belt already has a more effective self defense arsenal than most black belts.
mmtxaz 2 years ago 2
Haha I'm just saying your system is completely flawed because you have such a small amount of material but stretch it out over years and years. My style takes decades to reach higher degrees of black belt, but that's because you could spend your whole lifetime learning it and still not know all the thousands of techniques. Your style is a waste of time.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
Now you are showing a whole new level of ignorance. BJJ is infinite. New moves are being invented all the time. Spend some time on YouTube and you will see for yourself. Unlike traditional arts, this is an art that is constantly evolving. But since you don't actually trai
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Haha you mean you're showing your ignorance. You act like BJJ is something new. Those moves have existed for decades, way before the Gracies. People were using "BJJ" when the Gracies were still shitting in their diapers. As for making new moves, I agree. I mean having sex the same way gets boring, you gotta come up with new positions to keep your partner interested, right?
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
You keep telling me to spend time on youtube. Is there where you do your "training"? No martial art can be learned through reading or watching tapes. The fact that most of your ridiculous system is available online just shows it's equality with tae bo.
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
I'm saying Youtube can show you the diversity of bjj technique, and yes, videos can be used as a supplement formal training at a good school. Of course, since you won't even name your style, I can assume it do4esn't exist.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
No they can't. Anyone with a brain will tell you not to watch martial arts videos for training purposes. Obviously you don't have a brain. And just to piss you off more, my style actually does have some videos on youtube. If only you knew the name...
MachineFILTHY 2 years ago
Yes they can. There are world champs who post vids. If you were intelligent enough to recognize good technique, you would know this.
mmtxaz 2 years ago
Ground and pound is instinctive like boxing and wrestling....IT IS NOT PART OF ANY MARTIAL ART, IT IS INSTINCT FOOL!
wiggalama 2 years ago
@wiggalama Nicely said, but actually boxing or wrestling is not "instinctive" in the way that you make it seem to be. "Punching" is instinctive but "boxing" is an art that you actually have to learn. Anyone can throw punches, but not everyone can actually "box". Boxers are not born boxers, they are created. You are not born with the sweet science. You're born with the ability to swing but not to actually box, The same with wrestling. There are techniques you have to learn and perfect.

well , if there is only one guy , you can simply stomp his head into the ground

hhhmm... there are big fundamental mistakes here and teaches life threating wrong concepts to defender if we are talking about street fighting. It should never ever be threated as two man submssion contest
otherwise great video :-)
fasima 3 years ago
He doesn't treat it like a sub match. The whole series deals with fights that involve groundwork and acknowledges the need to be able to stand up and address other potential opponents.
And guess what? There are many real life examples of this material working in:
1. Fights
2. Defending against criminal assaults
3. Police work
4. Lethal military h2h engagements (see the book "House to House" by Silver Star winner David Bellavia for an example of a life and death groundfight in Fallujah)
thatrugbyguy 3 years ago
Sorry but he does,if this if for personal safetly for non military/police etc. person.
which is of course totally potentially dangerous stay on the ground and to star tdoing sub work, potential for friends coming to stab/hit with bottle/kick are far too great, home invasion and such sitaution is of course different
You have to be clear to whom you are aiming the technique, military/non military/police etc., different aim etc...
fasima 3 years ago
Your number 4 is the most misguided justification of them all since out
how many casulties in modern war comes groundfighting. I will let you on in a little secret, wars are fought with guns/knifes weapons, with hands these days, nt so much :-) .
Simple truth about , don't stay on the ground , get up as fast as you can. Don't ever think it' one on one match....
fasima 3 years ago
I'm not going to deny that h2his relatively rare in modern combat. It does happen though, particularly in urban COIN ops. When it does happen it is likely to be at clinch/ground range. If someone isn't getting shot it's ussually because you are a) trying to detain or b) They are too close for u deploy a weapon.
In the specific example I gave there was gouging, dick biting, bludgeoning, and eventually stabbing. The winner was still the one who held the mount position on a stronger opponent.
thatrugbyguy 3 years ago
The purpose of the video is seems to be simply to show how your BJJ techniques can be altered to be more useful outside of a sport or art context.
It's the responsibility of the viewer to decide where it best applies.
He doesn't spend his time his time explaining how to do an armbar, choke, etc. because the viewer is expected to know it already. Likewise, it's also expected that they know about awareness, avoidance, common sense, etc.
thatrugbyguy 3 years ago
BJJ is always taught from both a self-defence perspective and a sports perspective. The strategy changes; but generally the concepts and techniques remain the same.
ilikeaeroplanejelly 3 years ago
More propaganda. ALL STREET FIGHTS ARE LIFE AND DEATH. STOP BASING A STYLE ON WHAT IS ALLOWED IN SPARRING OR WHAT YOU SEE IN SPORT FOOL. The only things that work in "BJJ' are things not originally BJJ such as tackling (occasionally), sweeps(Jujitsu and Judo work only if past strike), chokes or armlock(only if unskilled or weakened consciously such as you punched the fuck out of him).
wiggalama 2 years ago
Some street fights are life or death, others aren't. The experience to know the difference usually isn't possessed by people yelling about "teh d3adly" in all caps.
That you also referred to tackles not takedowns and didn't mention positional strategy suggests that you aren't all that knowledgeable about BJJ either.
thatrugbyguy 2 years ago
If you hold back or hesitate on the most efficient foe, all it takes is that one slight opening and the foe underestimated will take full advantage. Your life is not just yours alone, think of your family without you because you got killed in your underestimation. It is better to go to jail for manslaughter(as some states may do for some years or less) than to die because you thought it was just for injuring.
wiggalama 2 years ago
You wouldn't know self-defense from a street fight from a professional use of force if they all cornered you in the shower and gave you a brazilian gang rape Wiggles.
I could write a novel length dissertation about how nearly everything you've flooded these comments with is either seriously distorted or flat out wrong, but I really don't feel like trying to keep your four dozen odd posts straight.
thatrugbyguy 2 years ago
You go ahead with your girl view of street fighting while I laugh at your corspe your corpse when you go for a knee bar and get your balls crushed and then beaten to death :) I already got a doctrite on kicking your ass YouTube style, let us hope we meet in real life :)
wiggalama 2 years ago
You again? Doctrite Lama Wigga? Sure, I hope we meet in real life too.
By the way Doctrite, how does a corpse attempt a kneebar, and how would one reach the groin of someone who had locked a kneebar on them? Both seem anatomically implausible.
