I have been looking for PDQ Bach's famous The Well Tempered Queer, as well as Hair on a G-String, and Ode to Young Boys. Does anyone know where to find these gems?
Ha ha I've seen the whole video...when he fell off the balcony? Lol surely he broke something? And then drinking the whole bottle of whine...the sports match...lol. Ingenious!
The DVD includes "Desecration of the House" Overture, Schleptet in Eb Major, Iphigenia in Brooklyn, "Unbegun" Symphony, New Horizons in Music Appreciation, Fuga Meshuga, The Seasonings, S. 1 1/2 TSP., and Odden and Enden.
I just watched your video (and the DVD). If you read this, click on pahedress and check out view from windows. Nice use of PDQ bach. When I played under Shickele, my life was complete. I hope he's trained an heir, he's pretty old now.
I thought concertmistress was un-PC, but concert mattress?? Getting the DVD after I let my kids hear my old MIT Symphony cassette with Hindenburg concerto and canine cantata (in dog suit chained to concert mattress - me)

I especially like the Unbegun Symphony, and it's great to finally make the switch from vinyls to visuals... I hadn't heard about any film scores.

Can someone plese tell me why this is funny I don't get it.

This trailer isn't particularly funny, but the PDQ Bach parodies of classical music, opera, musicians, patrons, and the like is indeed funny.

I love PDQ! Never saw him live, though I'm not sure I'd survive it.

Hey, thanks!
I agree with you about an heir; but could anyone really do what he does?

I saw him at Carnegie in mid 90s. He had Itzak Perlman in a surprise appearance. It was great. He's funny.
