I would argue that while a good majority of Mega Man enemies DO look ridiculous, they at least pose a good threat, especially in the earlier games. Unlike enemies from games like Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario and Sonic which only take one hit/stomp to kill, Mega Man enemies take multiple hits, have a great range of variety, and are more spontaneous.
