HELP!! I never really play fighting games (except super smash bros if that even counts). but im trying to look into a fighting game that is: easy to pick up (for a person who doesnt play many fighting games), maybe has some character customization, has a bunch of content to keep me playing, can win fights by just knowing the basic buttons, and doesnt really need a lot of button memorization for combos. can i get some help deciding between: TEKKEN 6, SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4, and SOUL CALIBUR 4?!?

Also street fighter is very realistic not in graphics but character wise for the most part. You have martial artists, boxers, wrestlers, samoa wrestlers, cage fighters, mu tai, and other variety of fighting. Just because the graphics are anime doesn't mean sf isn't as realistic as tekken, but then again they both unrealistic in there on way.

@MineIts I know thats why I said to some extwent. Tekken isn't completely realistic either, hell there are demons in it. I just like the fighting system better (once again no disrespect to SSIV fans, just my preference).

But tekken is the more realistic fighter because i dont think theres 1 character that has real fighting style in street fighter but tekken has got like a boxers martial artist and more
@WIndEdgeV good choice on the ssf4: ae. It is the better game but tekken and mk9 are also good choices to check out. They make a good rental and if you like ssf4:ae then you should get ultimate marvel vs capcom 3.
yo i got a problem in my game im string to do an ultra combo with yun and my ultra bar is full and stuff but when i try the combo my character just gets it confused with the super combo with just one punch and i want the ultra combo that tacks 3 punches ya know? so like am i doin something wrong?

actually "Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition Version 2012" has already been announced :-) although this will be a free game that comes on request by the fans...

@ajwest747 Actually, if you were to buy Super Street Fighter 4 at retailers or on demand, it's 30 bucks. So add 15, you got 45 bucks rather than paying 40 for just the entire game.

This was released to arcades in both Japan and the this year in the US. We US arcade operators had to pay a pretty penny for this game (I ended up paying about $9300 as it was purchased before the console edition was announced). This DLC has completely killed my sales, I refuse to ever support a Capcom arcade title again.
@theatarian Hahaha. Anyone could've guessed that Capcom was gonna make a console version, they always do that. Though it must be cool to own the actual Cabinet. I would definitely play this game on a arcade cabinet if I could find one.
@theatarian Oh and I saw the SSF4AE video that you had that was posted on May 23, and little did you know that two weeks after that was posted the DLC version of this game came out. So unless that video was made way earlier than it was posted (we are talking Winter), console versions were announced mid-Spring, or you were not in the loop, which is unfortunate since with internet you should of known this. A shame you paid $9300 too. Now I can only pay an extra $15 and save all my quarters :p.
@popo237 Actually you would be out of the loop on the Arcade version. It was first announced in January and I ordered it that week. I was promised it would get here in Feb but didn't show up until Mid-April. You also wouldn't know that Taito had planned a big press release event in March about it as they are the ones who were handling the arcade release in the US but Capcom undercut them with the DLC and they canceled the event. I've been paying closer attention than you for a long time
Too elaborate further, the US Arcade version was announced in January after the Japanese release. It was the first time the arcade was announced to support two players on one board, also called the Versus Kit. It would lack online features but cost less than a standard two player setup they had released previously.

@VeilStig Valid point. I'm just saying that the game is departing too greatly from how it started (with Blanka being the only inhuman character). The character cast is turning into Tekken's lineup, so it seems. When that Street Fighter/Tekken crossover comes out, the characters will be indistinguishable.
It's cool that they added on to Street Fighter IV, but why wasn't this just original version. Or they could just have downloadable characters and costumes and not worrying about making a whole other disc
