Someone please explain to me the connection of yall and David Banner. That guy claims to be of God but if you listen to any of his stuff he is far from being of God.

and to take rap, and to say that we should band it in the church altogether, because the world makes ungodly rap is equivelant to saying since there is porn on the internet, let's band the internet altogether! see how narrow minded that is, dispite the thousands of countries that have been reached by the gospel through internet broadcast and ministering.
Satan is using Holy Hip-Hop to keep people at a Luke-warm stage. Blocking the true fruitfull-ness and annointings in people's lives. People are truely wanting change & deliverance, and wanting Jesus Christ, but the Holy Hip-Hop & other Sub-cultures decieve & lead people right back to the bondage or vomit spoken of in Proverbs 26:11. Holy Hip-Hop is not an right example of the culture Jesus started. We have to be careful with change. Beware of the Leaven of the Pharisees.......
The bible says we can't serve two masters, but people are doing that by looking, dressing, performing, dancing, tattooing, talking, rapping, boasting, behaving like the world. True Christians are called to be separate from the world's behaviors & worldly conforming. I'm not saying we have to be Amish, but we can't compromise the Truth. Read James 4:4. There are so many scriptures speaking against conforming to this world like Romans 12:2. Also Read 1Corinthians 3:17
Sub-cultures have an image & standard which came from Pride. There can be NO IDOLS in a christians life, but Jesus Christ. Example: when you come to Christ, your suppose to come empty handed, surrendering everything to him. Like as an empty glass that only Jesus fills. If there is something you used to do before you came to Jesus, you must examine that thing with the Word of God. Letting God's Words tell you it's ok & how to give him glory with it before you continue in it.
Holy Hip-Hop uses the same types of beats that entices the flesh which the worldly rappers use. That's why you can play a Holy Hip-Hop record in a worldly club & worldly people still will jump around and dance to it. That is comforming to this world and re-defining worship music & how to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. That is heresy.

Everything we do is a form of communication. Everything is a type of Doctrine. Understand this, WHAT MESSAGE is a particular person, place, thing or spirit trying to directly or indirectly display. If communication was just verbal, Holy Hip-Hop would be ok. Communication is many things: the way you talk,the way you dress,the way you perform on stage,the way you take care of yourself,facial expression, behavior, etc. Do you feel the spirit of God when you listen to that music?
We as christians must understand that Holy Hip-Hop or other sub-cultures are not redeemed after a person comes to Christ. The individual is redeemed, not the culture. You can't mix Holy which is clean with Hip-Hop which is stained by the World. For example: what do you get when you mix clean water with dirty water? More Dirty Water.....
@NSHouston19 The reason I disagree with the image of this movement is because of the whole book of Acts! I pray lives are transformed but I whole-heartedly feel this is a compromise of the gospel.

We've become so much like the world that its hard to distinguish the difference between the righteous and the profane. "Young", "Fly"?.. He never said blend in and use the worlds terminology and self-indulgent idologies to promote the Gospel. Wake up to righteousness!

Sure we're not supposed to be of the world but I see this is an example of what Paul was saying in 1 Corinthians 9:22..becoming all things to men that they might be saved. That's just me tho', you might think different. But we don't know them personally to judge..God knows their hearts. If its profanity, they have their reward... btw i'm 15 &100% souled out for Christ. What does "young" mean if anybody under 150 is included? Isn't "fly" a reference to appearance and material possessions? How is that the Gospel? Paul was made all things but he never sinned or said sinful things to reach people. Matthew 7:22,23 always put the fear of God in my heart and I analyze everything. What do you think?

Look at artists like Lecrae and the rest of the 116 Clique..you could call them "young and fly" but that has no effect on their ministry. Their music actively convicts and changes lives for God's glory. That could be the same for the YFS movement? I don't know. The best thing I think is to pray for them..
@JhustNikki Lol, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this 1 and wait on Jesus to clarify when He returns (1 Corinthians 13:9, 10).Looking nice is 1 thing but promoting it as a ministry tool rubs me the wrong way according to 1 Tim 6 as an example. Honestly, this whole thing seems to promote a vain, self-centered gospel. I like Lecrae, especially "Desperate", but when I study Acts and pray for wisdom a lot about this thing just don't line up... @DreWisdom222 Hello for some reason i came across your response and was compelled to respond. I pray this is taken in good spirit. The whole young fly and saved movement is an AWAKENING. It was not put in place for us "churched" folk it is meant for the lost as a way to compel them to come to Christ. Fact is this generation (my generation) has lost interest in the traditional hymn driven gospel. They can not come to grips why they should even care about the gospel or even care about Jesus.
@DreWisdom222 while theyre caught up in the wordly lifestyle they have no time to hear the calling Jesus has for them b/c its been buffeted by satans tactics/distractions. YFS Kingdom music is a great Call Out to those who were asleep to whats happening on kingdom side only it presents it in a way they understand. untwisting what satan used to tie them down. music, appearance, etc. In return many (like myself) will become a heavenly influence rather than the world influencing them.
