Just unreal talent. He's 17, are you freaking kidding me? Win or lose, he will sell more records than anybody in the competition. He's more marketable and he's somebody people will like for a long time. I also like Pia, James, and Lauren, and one of them may very well win. But Scotty will have a longer and more successful career. You can bank on it.
Great song, great voice. But he's not going to win over too many of the ladies, which means he needs to be a pretty blonde girl with a G rated image. He needs to hit a Chinese restaurant with Lauren, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. He has the talent to win, but if you're in the top 12, you're talented. What matters is image. Lauren picked 2 perfect songs for her and even though she wasn't great, she made Idol's core voters like her.
