Is it worth me re-subbing after two years? I'm thinking about getting the game again, I left originally because of the lack of content. I live in Australia, so what server would be the most populated if i re-joined?

@ImagamesFreak hey, yeah it is great, the game is awesome now, I just resubbed like u i left because of lack of content and bugs at release, and was also a australian player. The expansion is very very good with so much to do, and also join Cimmeria server, thats where the bulk of the aussies are. Hope you get back into conan!

WoW is boring after 5-6 years. Age of Conan is so fresh, its actually new and uses amazing new gameplay and story telling. the environments are just amazing. the raids too are fun and worth it. Also the community is a lot more mature.. I did play Age of Conan when it was first released and i must admit i went back to WoW but now after 2 years have passed I've returned for a third time and I'm really enjoying the new content for a new character i created.

You are right on that. I Played AoC but I stopped because of some of the impossible lag. I have a very good gaming pc, and 100mb/s internet, so it can't be me. AoC is still amazing, it looks wonderful and the raids really make you want to come back. Sieges are a nice idea, to bad lag makes it impossible to play a nice siege game.

Yeah the lag is a real turnoff, that is if your playing with a good system and expect great graphics in return. Thats not always the case, hopefully it gets addressed sometime. Otherwise its still good. Oh and PVE is a must, if you expect wowish leveling. Playing at Crom atm ( EU PVE server).

You have to be kidding me. Age of conan not an open world? some of the lands are fing huge! you're only comparing it to WoW because you don't have experience of other mmos. What about warhammer online, graphically shite and it was instanced.

wow is kiddy but its mechanics is so much better than aoc. aoc looks great but so many bugs and glitches. dont understand why they are releasing an expansion pack so soon while the game is still under development.

I'm confused this expansion comes with hyboarian adventures and the 30 days free? wow thats a great deal. I don't understand what about people who already have the game will they purchase the same or is there a way just to get rise of the godslayer on its own?

I got AoC yesterday , being level 15 , i can already tell this game is great. I can run it on high quality settings, so its great and addictive. I cant wait for this expansion , so when i ding 80 ill have more endgame stuff to do :). 5/5 Cool mounts funcom

i havent played age of conan for long time ! .. but the expansion .. is it for some lvl u need to be to get into the new expansion? or if u are a new player.. u need to buy both games and start from lvl 1 in the first age of conan?

This game has come SO far since launch.  Anyone who says, "I've played Age of Conan", and hasn't been to 80... hasn't played AOC, period. This game is not your typical "easy" hack n slash. So please, if you haven't even been out of Tortage, don't rate the game on it's opening moments. One of the few games out there that actually decide one's success based on one's skill. Granted, MMO's can only get so difficult, it's just interactive typing, afterall. If you haven't tried AOC lately, TRY!

Age of Conan is plenty open enough of all the games flaws that should be at the very barrel. Some of the environments are huge compared to other mmos or even single player games like dragon age.

If you have a good grapic card and a good computer this is the best mmorpg for sure. You buy it in store or on the online wepshop. I think i will return to AoC when Rise of the godslayer realise, looks great!

How can you say they look bad? i personally LOVE the armor style in AoC. It just looks more "Realistic". I hate the way WoW armor looks. Way to fantasy, way to alien looking. It looks gay.

Ive played Age of Conan, the consept of the game was great, and it still can be a great game! But the thing that ruined age of Conan for me was that its not and open world. If you play wow you feel that your in the same world as all the players and that is an great feeling! When I played Age of conan I didnt get that feeling, I would like to call it the mmo feeling. I got the feeling like I was playing cs, you dont play with others than those that are in the server that you play on.

At WoW there are also different servers, but I think you played on a private server... Also, AoC wuld be to weird to be in a large open world, the whole roleplayer part would fade when you form a jungle to instantly a snowy mountain or so. and the loading times and lags would take forever.

@mitsiee I think MrHeenkaa is talking about the zoning between two areas. in WoW u just have 4 great zones with 1 loading screen and besides that instances. In AoC u have a loading screen between every zone:( I've read that they improved it tho, would improve the epic feeling this game can give with this exp!

Its called Instances. You can join the "Epic" version of the map for harder mobs and rare loot. Its a different type of gameplay. MMORPG's are just Massive, Online, RPG, not necessairy 1 map loaded while you play.
