c) Like Continental EU, and more recently China and India, the US would do well to mandate for new-market cars, SUV's and vans to carry a minimum ONE, "high-visbility safety vest", to be stowed INSIDE the cabin. Road law would stipulate 'use' of the item vis; mandatory_before_exit!
This is actually not right, I've read in many 'iii' forums/blog's that staying in the car is a good idea.
Absolutely not, the safest thing to do is to get you and all the passengers a safe distance away from the vehicle, not stay in the vehicle where potentially you are variable to other oncoming, unaware cars.
