a few nights ago i tried acid for the first time and somehow found myself playing wow, i had no fucking idea what i was doing but somehow i got to azuremyst isle, and the music made me feel like i was melting. I listened to it for a solid 2 hours tripping bawls while my character just stood there afk until i got DC'ed.

This game is, undoubtedly, THE aesthetic masterpiece of the 21st century. It should be stored away in the Library of Congress for preservation if it hasn't been already.

WOW MUSIC IS the best from all video games ! second is warcraft series musics third diablos music fourth starcraft and the other games suck in soundtrack ! Blizzards soundtracks even can be compared and are on one level with real music !
@mechkapechka The music of Warcraft and Starcraft series is good for background, to keep action goig, while the other games you mentioned have music that stands out even when you're not playing. But there's a lot more good music in videogames to discover, for example the music from games like Homeworld, Icewind Dale, MDK, and so on. You don't need to limit yourself to Blizzard's music just because it's good music.

as a horde player it was truly devestating when alliance got this awesome starting zone. I actually made alliance characters (dranei) only to come here and walk around lvling up til 10 and then make a new one. The wow soundtracks is truly an art.
I play with draenei only because of the starting zone. 1st the music is so amazing, so peacefull, so relaxing. 2nd azuremyst teritory is so beautiful, i am staring at it and dont want to move. Just watching and listening... It is realy enjoyable to make quests, i want to be hundrets of quests in there!
I find this piece represents Azuremyst very well in terms of its alien presence--and I don't mean the Draenei, mind you, but the feeling that the whole twin continent area is not only isolated, but a place out of time and space, of its own world. I personally wish it was frequented more often by other roleplayers, but I suppose I should be grateful I have all that room mostly to myself; it would become just another Shattrath, or Dalaran, or Stormwind if it was more popular.
Oh god, i miss TBC + Vanilla so much, this runs chills through my spine and huge surges of euphoria from remembering all those happy memories. WoW just wasnt a game back then, it was a different life.

People who want BC/classic back are just people who want to force people to play in the shitty downgraded content which they call burning crusade.

I know I had far more fun playing BC than I ever did Wrath and definitely Cataclysm. Can't say much on Classic as I just hit 60 a week before BC came out.
I don't want BC to fully replace Cata, but I sure as hell wouldn't mind a BC server.
@imthecoffeecup The BC server would be tiny, and it would only get smaller as people realise that the sense of nostalgia was false and you were only thinking of the good times like downing a really hard boss and not thinking of the bad times, like spending 2 hours killing trash.
Some parts of this music in-game were really heavy for me. I felt neither joy nor sadness, something in between, but was a heavy feeling. I think it was the part which starts at 6:20 and 8:00.
That flute, or whatever it is, is really powerful. The visual atmosphere of Azuremyst also contributed to this experience.
Have not played with wow since August last year handed my guild over to a friend Tenacity its called darkmoon faire server RP im a lvl80 deathnight nightelf swiftrunner shes called i come here on youtube to dream and think of when i can go back stoped because of uni im not some wow nerd but stoping playing was the hardist thing to do wow in some words is like a drug its LSD in game format with this soul touching music no wounder people get addicted im a pre bc player and i do miss it .
Try listening to Rainstorm + Dragonblight, Nagrand, or Terrokar music as well (Only the forest themed part of Terrokar, not the wasteland part) . Those are great too!

Some music in WoW is really beautiful and a lot of the quests have interesting storylines that most players will never read. Although everyone rushes to 80, if you took your time and read the quests, get immersed in the game, you'll enjoy it a lot more.

Agree IMO think this is one of the best soundtracks in the game I have played Horde almost since vanilla's release. After a toon xfer and guild failure and stuck on the server at that time I rolled a Space Goat that are now on the Horde side but have my new goat on a server far away from guild drama. IMO think that leveling in the belf area is faster but the goat content and story line is better.
From 5:15 - 7:00 on i feel like i have reached a state of total peace hearing this music. As a vanilla player, honestly, no other music in game compares to Azuremyst Isles. I remember coming back to the island on my level 70 shaman and just sitting thinking about life and how great it is..
yes, exactly. I think like it's intentional... just at the draenei, they're deeply spiritual and thoughtfull people. Belves have somewhat sad, but still flamboyant music in their zone, this is just so calm, peacefull and soothing. I love it! :)

This one time, about 3 years ago, I had to prepare for a big public speaking project at college.. I sat and listened to this music for awhile before doing my speech. It cleared and focussed my mind.. And I NAILED the speech in front of a large crowd.
@adidasrunner45 Yes, I agree. I am so - ONE - with the music, that I accidently shitted my pants, because I was in deep relaxation and meditation with the music. Every single disturbing sound (from cars passing by my windows or the birds doing their thing) maked me poop myself. It has been great, even though a bit weird. I feel so free now, so open. I will now take this music to my work and on the train via mp3. I just hope I don't crap myself again. Even if it was very....relieving.

Disagreed. Vanilla, The Burning Crusade, and Wrath all had great pieces of music to them. Such as Naxx in Vanilla, The Sunwell in TBC, and The Ebon Hold's general music in Wrath.
Actually, I DO hear the music when I play WoW. It's because I like to venture off into places listen to the music and see the sights until I eventually get killed by something beyond my limits.

i love BC, it was when i started wow, so i have some fun memories of playin wow at the time BC came out, imo wotlk is total shit compared to BC, in BC we got two races, flying mounts, outland, n outland is epic, northrend to me is rubbish n boring

Some parts of this music in-game were really heavy for me. I felt neither joy nor sadness, something in between, but was a heavy feeling. I think it was the part which starts at 6:20 and 8:00.
That flute, or whatever it is, is really powerful. The visual atmosphere of Azuremyst also contributed to this experience.

Try listening to Rainstorm + Dragonblight, Nagrand, or Terrokar music as well (Only the forest themed part of Terrokar, not the wasteland part) . Those are great too!

Some music in WoW is really beautiful and a lot of the quests have interesting storylines that most players will never read. Although everyone rushes to 80, if you took your time and read the quests, get immersed in the game, you'll enjoy it a lot more.

@TheRealChumm i agree 100% people nowadays are so busy trynna get to 80, get the best gear, do arena and raids n all that shite, they miss the real beauty of wow, the actual world itself, the music, the quests, fuck all that GS, ICC northrend crap thats trash, no one really cares if someones got imba gear, got a good arena rating, me all i been doin is trynna compare to others, rushin to 80, trynna get gd gear, doin dungeons and pvp for xp and gear n not enjoying the best part of wow, the world.

Agree IMO think this is one of the best soundtracks in the game I have played Horde almost since vanilla's release. After a toon xfer and guild failure and stuck on the server at that time I rolled a Space Goat that are now on the Horde side but have my new goat on a server far away from guild drama. IMO think that leveling in the belf area is faster but the goat content and story line is better.

From 5:15 - 7:00 on i feel like i have reached a state of total peace hearing this music. As a vanilla player, honestly, no other music in game compares to Azuremyst Isles. I remember coming back to the island on my level 70 shaman and just sitting thinking about life and how great it is..
It really is spiritual in and out of game.

yes, exactly. I think like it's intentional... just at the draenei, they're deeply spiritual and thoughtfull people. Belves have somewhat sad, but still flamboyant music in their zone, this is just so calm, peacefull and soothing. I love it! :)

@adidasrunner45 Best comment I've seen in a long time on youtube.. There is something quite evocative about this music. I've gone back to Azuremyst just to listen to it - so soothing. This one time, about 3 years ago, I had to prepare for a big public speaking project at college.. I sat and listened to this music for awhile before doing my speech. It cleared and focussed my mind.. And I NAILED the speech in front of a large crowd.
This music really has a power of its own.

@adidasrunner45 Yes, I agree. I am so - ONE - with the music, that I accidently shitted my pants, because I was in deep relaxation and meditation with the music. Every single disturbing sound (from cars passing by my windows or the birds doing their thing) maked me poop myself. It has been great, even though a bit weird. I feel so free now, so open. I will now take this music to my work and on the train via mp3. I just hope I don't crap myself again. Even if it was very....relieving.
