the soundtrack to this play and film seems to speak for a large part of the sixties culture more effectively than what almost any band could accomplish. The composers of the songs both lyrics and music were gifted in this sense, IMO.
@aussieome Yeah, that was the weird part...i was in the orchesta of a production of this show in 1997, the score said Hare Chrishna but the cd said Be-In...go figure.
@wmier2 The original song was titled "Be-In." Being "in" was a term used in the 60s, meaning being in on what's happening. Not too dissimilar to other "Ins" like "Love Ins." Forget it....you'd have to have been there, and lived it!
These songs are just addicting and sink in the head....LOL.
