  • There are times the works of mankind aren't the works of a man...

  • Stunning. How blessed we are too have such beauty in our life's. Simply Stunning.

  • think he had a foot fetish lolz

  • @metallica12606 M Bouguereau is one of the greatest painters of feet; I wish I had his skill.

  • Bouguereau was a master stylist at classical realism. It is really hard to believe that a human hand created those exquisite paintings. He treated all of his subjects with dignity and understanding in his compositions. Look at all of those elegant faces. Simply stunning.

  • @ShawzDNB

If you are not going to make a pathetic Justin Bieber joke, do not bother point out that you are not going to. It is annoying either way.

  • La "Western civilization",es la incivilizacion del materialismo, pero esta musica ayuda a poder redimirse.

  • UNE MERVEILLE ...

J'en ai les larmes aux yeux et la chair de poule

  • pachelbel, and paintings of naked women!

  • @frostytheaussie With absolutely perfect feet. Feet are two of the parts of the body that are hardest to get just right; Bouguereau painted feet that are totally realistic, yet also absolutely graceful.

  • si existiese 1 dios de la pintura, deberia parecerse mucho a Bouguereau

  • lol it's fun cause both of the guy's fathers were wine commercant :P

  • Like the tempo. Good interpretation.

  • Agree about Bouguereau being a painterly god. Woefully under-appreciated. The art goes nicely with this music, too.

  • harpsichord

  • How do you pronounce this painters name?

  • Bu-ger-oh

  • Wish I could paint or create music like this masters did!

Bouguereau is my favourit painter, the god of painting!

  • @theredhag dont wish... do.

  • Thank God for Western Civilization

  • @philpinocha What I was thinking

  • Our school orchestra is going to play this at a wedding.

  • I love looking at old portraits of real people from the past.

  • How do you pronounce his name exactly? Johan Pachelbel?

  • yo-han pack-L-bell

  • The pix r fine 2 me, dere not perverted its natural

  • This is ine for the purists!! Just the three viols and harpsichord- though of course it is violins on this recording.

  • Perv? These are paintings, art... they weren't meant to have sexual context...perhaps the real perv is the poster with his(or her) head in the gutter...grow up.

  • LOL @ you

  • this was the first song i ever can remember hearing..ever i love it more than any other song ever! this was also the first song i taught myself to play by ear..such an amazing song

  • This is brilliant - does anyone know who performs this version of Canon? It appears to be in the key of C (I'm no music expert so don't know if it is C Sharp or C Major - just that it's not in the key of D which is easy to find). I'd really like to know so I can use this music at my wedding!

  • when i listen to this and close my eyes i feel i m dancing in circles in the air....

    it s wonderful!

  • I agree,its just so so wonderous

  • wow great version.

i love this piece of music

i can hear the harpsichord and doublebase/cello

  • oh my

  • It's too much. So (insert superlative here) it makes me proud to be human

  • Its when music that flows like this ,is played and paintings are shown one after the other ,that you appreciate the painters art. Thanks for the experience, keep it up.Bob

  • What a beautiful beautifully played rendition

I thank you for the post

    Five stars *****

  • Bouguereau, fantastic paintor, graceful delicate, and somewhat ethereal style he had.

  • i love this song it sound like 2 ppl fellin in love starts out out like every other movie to me there just meetin and they like each other then they flirt date and get to be really good friends and some thing happens... then this feelin of love creeps up on both of them and it like they cant tell the other person cause they dont know how they'll take it but to both of the the feeling go greater then they tell each other and that when i bust out like a big wave and they let the love grow and grow

  • That's the not the most eloquently written comment, but it's so true. That's such a great characterization of this piece. I completely agree with you! I think you've inspired me to play this again!

    Thank you.

  • heartfelt sentiments from kilgore there ;-)

I love this rendition of the song, I only have a partial recording of it, and it fades out in a most dissatisfying way (why does classical music make me talk like this?) Anyway, I was prompted to look it up on youtube, and in doing so was introduced to the works of W.A.Bouguereau, for which I am very greatful to chance, and the creator of this video.

  • This is a GREAT version of the canon, even though it is in C-Sharp Major instead of D...

  • what orchestra is this? great continuo!

  • I LOVE THE HARPSICHORD AT THE BACK!!!

  • Great.....Perfect...
