these libertarian koolaid drinkers want everyone to forget history and have a little faith that "people usually make good choices". the robber barons of the gilded age were so unscrupulous and self interested, teddy roosevelt had to take measures to protect the public from their greedy monopolies and unethical practices. they want us to forget all that and believe against common sense that the "market" left to the devices of the rich will be fair and beneficial to the GENERAL WELFARE.
