  • Poor Deity.....He's gonna be so disappointed when his parents tell him the truth.....

  • you guys know his comparing jesus and santa LOL love it Luci´s reading

    darwings universe

  • @snipper9617 *Darwin's

She was reading Dawkins' The God Delusion in another episode.

  • u got trouble.....I LOVE LUCY

  • Send me to hell. Luci is hot.

  • But God isn't gay.

  • Great video! I love the chemistry between Mr D and Lucy!

  • Kudos for using the word "Confabulation" in a sentence.

  • we love you too

  • "I don't have to think"

  • You're totally channeling Steve Carrel on this one >.<

  • lol mixed up rudolph with judas

  • Hey, that "Jump in, jump out" idea is great, I think I'll start doing that.

  • My God, Lucy is such a beautiful woman!

  • So a German name makes one a Nazi, eh? Isn't he a generalizing bastard... ;)

  • She's reading Darwin's Universe. Awesome.

  • 15 people don't like Santa...

  • "i dont think anything, ur not listening to me!" XD

  • So...Zeus and Allah and Death and Herpes (the god of regret), as mentioned in the show, are NOT magical beings? Please enlighten me.

  • @AtheistinFundyLand While I cannot speak for Mr. Deity, it is my understanding that He has intentially put some contradictions into the series to be consistent with the Bible (and religious beliefs in general).

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha!!! This episode was hilarious!!!

    Katalyzt

  • Here's another annoying message with a suggestion even though you've done a spectacular job already: depending on which way you wanted to go, Mr. Deity is confronted by (or hears about) two smartass atheists, one declaring the existence of the Invisible Pink Unicorn, the other declaring the existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I can see a little Hinduism thrown in for good measure.

Love your videos. Keep up the good work, please.

  • i love the billy graham ad iam seeing . lolol

  • Mr. Deity is a lot like Michael Scott.

  • Mr. deity made me facepalm the entire video

  • that's quite a shirt there Mr Deity

  • so is Lucy a christian?

  • @ninongosprey Nope. Lucy is Lucifer... There's a funny Mr. Deity video where she hires an interior designer to create hell...

  • @ninongosprey yes.

  • I love Lucy.

  • @StevoDog21 Me too.

  • I love Amy and her character Lucky, hope she comes back :D

  • @DeLaCreux 'lucy'

  • lol those are some pretty gheyish names

  • If this was real then i would be a devil worshiper.

  • @LordOfTheObvious It's real dude, you just watched it.

  • @jackhuskey Well ... they have pics. So i guess it's time for me to start worshiping her. (^_^)

  • @LordOfTheObvious Oh, the worshiping I would do at that temple. Rawr.

  • @jackhuskey (O_O) Would Lucy take over if she had more worshipers?

Or would Deity just get very very sad ... i hope it would be both.

  • Got to love it.

  • hahahahahahaah first she's reading "The God Delusion" then she's reading "Darwin's Universe"

Yep, Lucifer has my vote over "Mr. Deity" hahaha :P

  • She's a beautiful women. ^_^

  • I love your stuff so much.

  • I thought Mr. Deity used to hang out with Zeus. Has he forgotten all about that, eh?

  • Anyone so easily deceived by this junk...so much so that you make a donation...you are a perfect example of the spiritually ignorant following the mystery religion of the last days. Modern Christianity is that mystery religion and is so far removed from the truth taught in the Scriptures, and is so widely accepted by a mostly scirpturally illiterate population. Only a very few actually stand in the gap for the lost sheep today. Yahweh and His only begotten son Yahshua be praised for the truth.

  • @hairmagic I love it when a person believing in a book which thinks the Universe was created in six days, that the moon is a source of light, or that the Earth is the center of the universe calls others ignorant. Then, you praise a being who allows no freedom of thought or dissent and sends people to be tortured eternally for having a different opinion or merely not believing a story? Really? This is enlightenment? I think not!

  • @misterdeity Correctly translated 6 days should have been six ages. The moon is a reflector, not a light. In Gen 1:16 three words were added by the translators, "he made' and the word "also." Read it again and leave off the words man added. The stars are the second light that rules the night. Yahweh does allow freedom of thought. The modern teaching about eternal hell fire punishment is not from Yahweh, but a false teaching of man. Modern Christianity = ignorance. I am not from among them. Seek

  • @hairmagic And I guess "correctly translated" Yahweh didn't order genocide, the murder of non-virgins, homosexuals, adulterers, sabbath-breakers, disobedient children, etc... Oh, and "correctly translated" death didn't come about only 6,000 years ago either -- as the Bible says.

Freedom of thought? If you believe in another god, you're to be put to death. That's not freedom of thought. That's tyranny of the worst kind.

And you think my supporters are easily deceived? Puh-leez!

  • @misterdeity The things you mentioned are correctly translated. They are the penalty for breaking Yahweh's laws. Yahweh is the Creator of you, me, and everything else in existence. As the Creator he has the right to make the rules for His creation. You can choose to disregard those rules, but in doing so,there will be consequences to pay for breaking them. You have become your own god in your heart and mind. You are the created, not the Creator. The Creator always wins. I'm good with that.

  • @hairmagic Then let the Creator do his own dirty work and kill the Adulterers, Homosexuals, Non-Virgin girls, etc... on His own instead of telling people to do it. If he's so great, He can do it himself.

And where did you get this crazy notion that these things are mistranslated. Again, worked with a Hebrew scholar who has spent his life going verse by verse through the Hebrew Bible.

Are you also good with killing Homosexuals? Adulterers? Non-virgin girls? Sabbath breakers?

  • @misterdeity Actually, He's wiped out great numbers of them on His own on many occasions. As for the mistranslations. I have personally studied photographic copies of the original scrolls. I have worked closely with experts in the archaic Hebrew/Chaldee languages, who work as translators of the Dead Sea Scrolls. To answer your question...I obey the laws of the land, as long as they don't contradict the laws of Yahweh. If this nation turned back to His Laws, then yes, I would support it fully.

  • @hairmagic Thank you for being honest. You make the case against religion far better than I ever could. I'll leave it at that.

  • @misterdeity dude....you are awesome....you've got loads of fans here in india(if you didnt already know:P)....cheers...keep up the good work

  • @hairmagic so you are actually going to take a gun and go and kill some homosexuals, adulterers and Non-virgin girls, tommorow, even thought your country says not to?

  • @allblue88 I already answered your question before you ever asked it. I said that I obey the laws of the land, as long as they don't force me to violate Yahweh's Laws. I am not the judge. That job belongs to the Creator alone.

  • @hairmagic

So... God commanded moses to kill the medianites and to rape their virgin children. It's Yabhweh's law. I expect you to rape virgin canadian children to obey Yahweh's law since it conflicts with the laws of th eland.

  • @misterdeity Heyyy c'mon. Don't worry about that guy/gal. He/she is just venting. I LOOOVE these episodes Y'all have going here. Got my sides splitting!!

  • @hairmagic **points and laughs** Dude, seriously, get a life and grow a sense of humour!

  • Keep up the Godfrey Daniel good work!

  • Weird.. it's hard to tell if the satire in these videos are making fun of the actual beliefs of Christianity or just simply poking fun at certain fundamentalist Christian Beliefs. This makes it ever harder to tell if the actors and actresses are believers or non-believers. When i first started watching these vids i assumed that it was satire done by witty non-believers, but Lucy at the end confess to being a Christian??

So my question is, are these people actually Believers or not????

  • @Wittgensteinism And the answer is... I (Mr. D) am an anti-religionist. Definitions get difficult philosophically. I don't know that there is no God, but am unmoved by the evidence and almost certain that the Judeo/Christian God does not exist (based on the evidence available to me). Jimbo and Sean are somewhere along the continuum of belief as is Amy. But Amy pulls further towards belief than any of us. Does that answer the questions? If not, let me know and I'll try harder next time.

  • @misterdeity Wow.. am i actually talking to the Big Guy Upstairs Himself?

That's insanely awesome i have to say.

I never thought my prayercomments would actually be answered!

And yes, that does answer my question. Of course nobody "knows" whether God exists or not; all anyone can say is what they believe. And even here (which i'm glad you did) one must define what the word God means in the context of the belief.

You should make Mr. Deity a bit more a solipsist, that would be funny (for me)

  • @Wittgensteinism Yes, and also, once one goes down the road of supernaturalism, one has no means or methodology for determining the value or veracity of one supernatural claim over any other. Since we have no direct experience with the supernatural, and no way to test any person's claimed experience with the supernatural, we can do nothing more than shrug and either choose to believe it or not, based on nothing more than one's feeling about the claim and/or claimant. What is the value of this?

  • @misterdeity I agree with your comments, hence why there is such a thing as the Flying Spaghetti Monster; to illustrate that if you grant one, you have just as much justification for granting any other

But then you ask the value of this type of belief or methodology of belief, as if to suggest that it has or could have none

And of course, your statements actually answer this question quite well; we choose to believe or not based on nothing more than one's own emotional appeal

    Aesthetic value!

  • "The Santa Code" LOL!!! I love it.

  • It is my pet peeve when people say "Happy holiday and happy new year". If you're just going to say some generic "happy holiday" in place of Christmas, why then say "Happy new year"??? What about people who don't celebrate new year? You might as well just say "happy whatever" every day of the year.

  • FUNNYDUM

  • "Government bodies don't lie!" LOL

  • Brilliant, as always. Finally, someone realized that God does exist. And Santa..... and M&Ms.

  • thou shalt not have no other god than mr. deity XD

  • Uhm, Mr. Deity, sir.

Santa's reindeer aren't gay. They're all females - you can tell by the fact that they have antlers during December which males do not have.

    Amen.

  • Women can be gay.

We should be more worried about the lack of men in their workplace.

    Gouranga.

  • @ThatMonsterMan Of course they can, but the notion that the reindeer were gay was to do with the less than manly names and the implication that they were gay males. The reindeer being females makes that idea baseless.

-- but then we are talking about fictional animals.

  • @mikeyman211 no, antlers on male reindeer.

  • @frustratedoperator not during december. if the existed and had antlers during december, they'd be females since females still have their antlers at that time.

  • @mikeyman211

I am lost on this. Reindeer's aren't fictional animals. They are more commonly known as caribou in north america. It's scientific name is Rangifer tarandus.

Old males: Antlers fall in december

    Young males: In spring

    females: in the summer

  • @DearestyouXII not reindeer, "THE" reindeer.

  • Lucy is such a megababe! You seriously scored. Keep up the good work. You are by far the most talented comedic writer/director/actor on YouTube. This show deserves syndication. It should be the next Seinfeld!

  • Can someone pass this on to William Lame Craig ! He really needs to see this as does the likes of him.

  • Lucy <3 hehe

I always knew the devil was a women.

  • Lucy will you marry me?

  • This is the best one... Thou art great, Mr.Deity.

  • This was great!

And also, does anyone else think that Mr. Deity is a bit like Michael Scott from The Office?

  • !YES!

  • actually, it's not hanuka and not chanuka...it's something in the middle... the first syllable can't be written in english

  • Thanks. It was a joke though. I have an extensive background in Judaism and used to work with and for one of the most well-known Jewish theologians/thinkers. I just think people who mispronounce things and then act like they know what they're doing is funny as hell. And I've met so many of them in real life.

  • i don't know about you guys, but i got the attention of the d dude himself :)

  • If he comes upon you to kill you like he did with Moses, just have your wife circumcize your son with a sharp rock, then have her throw the foreskin at your feet. That worked for Moses, it calmed mrdeity right down. Just make sure to use a rock, not one of those stone knives. That's the kind of oversight that'll make you have to do it twice.

  • It can be written in Scottish, though : It's the "ch" sound in the word "loch".

  • yes, you can.

bdw, where can i watch the second season? (the crackle site doesnt work)

  • youtube it

  • Hell, what a beautiful wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I´m not heading for heaven, no nay never!

  • very funny....i love it

  • some of your funniest acting

  • lucy seems sweet, see I knew it going to hell would be ok lol

  • I almost choked on my pizza Brian COme you cant make me laugh like that

  • Why isn't the show on Comdey Central? Call up Jon Stewat, ask to be a part!!! Or Conan!!!

  • Love you guys!

  • This even more awesome the second time :D

  • At the end, Mr. Deity tells Lucy that she should start reading some non-fiction. I wonder if this is any reference to what she was reading in the begining of the sketch.

  • "Must have been some Nazi" LOL

  • cha-NOO-ka? No! It's KHA-nuh-ka.

  • It's the Santa Conspiracy!

  • There's my next book --- The Santa Code.

  • I would like a mr deity with just Lucy and her Devils to see what she does as the Devil.

    BIG G

  • It's mostly a lot of pushing papers around. It's much too boring for the show.

  • Oh. My. God.

Lucifer is reading "Darwin's Universe" by Richard Milner!

She's probably an evolutionist: she's EVIL!!!

  • Well she is the Devil

    BIG G

  • More like EVILutionist!

  • @BeekersSqueakers

I bet that's why some theists don't like evolution, because of the way Dawkins says it. It's EVILution. The Devil! It's probably subliminal.

  • Jump in jump out, lol!!

  • I discovered you about two months ago and I finally decided to subscribe...I have become a fan of Mr. D.

I might even donate (still thinking)...

    :)

    "A piece of resistance"...hahaha...

Hmmm...random thought...I wonder what Mr. D thinks about the Tower of Babel story...

  • I always thought "Chanuka" was pronounced like Lucy did. At least that's how they pronounce it in South Park. And hebrew is full of that "ch" (as of Lucy's pronounciation).

(And I don't care if it's Lucy or Luci...)

Oh and a nice episode! And I hope you had a merry christmas and a happy new year!

  • I was just joking on the Hanukah pronunciation. Sorry.

  • @misterdeity: lol, k, I see.

  • How was Jesse's birthday? Did you get him anything?

  • you guys crack me up so much.

  • Guys, you complete me!!

    You both are so cute!!!

(PS Can I keep my name?? I know Amy is the missus)

  • I am glad you read this be chose I want you to know how much we love you guys! You are so funny, intelligent and unique. Happy whatever!

  • If Satan looks like Amy Rohren, I want to burn in Hell.

  • @pteromalid Amen!

  • Happy holidays to the whole Mr. Deity crew! Thanks for all the laughs.

  • Right back atcha! We've been watching you with hidden cameras, and that thing you do in the shower with the conditioner and the handle of the back scrubber is freakin' hysterical. You might want to have that mole checked though. Happy New Year!

  • We love you guys!

  • Excellent parody of the futile attempt to rationalize the irrational. I love you guys!!

  • Mr.Deity, Sir. If I may ask, if I might be worthy enough to ask, does your intro music go on longer? Perhaps I could grab an MP3 of it if it did?

  • Yes it does. It will one day be part of an album of Music from Mr. Deity and Words. Go to our website and contact me directly through that link if you want something longer for a ringtone.

  • Thanks, I'll be sure to do that soon. While I have your attention, I just wanted to say I admire greatly Mr.Deity and the Magic (both parts) so much because it describes EXACTLY what it's like to talk religion to a believer. I swear it was like watching my uncle and I go at it. I'm not sure if you'd call it subtle, but the message is right on the money. Kudos to you, sir!

  • Unfortunately, I am very infrequently subtle. Subtlety requires an intelligence of which I fall somewhat short. But in all fairness, I was dropped on my head as a child (then later, as an adult).

  • hah, I was just thinking that!

I bookmarked this so I could relate that exact sentiment to theists that can't appreciate our experience.

  • I am so in love with Lucy.

  • Me too!

  • Lol very very nice. I think it's time to send you guys a late Christmas gift.

p.s. way to go on getting Lucy something.

  • I got her the wii Fit (among other things), and she is LOVING it!

  • yea, EXACTLY!

  • Comment removed

  • And to you Mr Outpatient

  • Happy Holidays for you as well and thanks for bringing out another episode! Love it!

    All the best from Germany!

  • Another awesome vid, Brian!

  • realy good

  • Hey, guys, I love you, too. Show is just as awesome as it's ever been. "Matthew, John, Paul and Ringo," Hysterical! Merry Christmas to you too, Amy and Brian, and Happy New Year.

  • LOVESIT!!

  • Hyvää joulua

    God Jul

    Happy Holidays

  • I just love the theme song

  • Another GREAT episode!

I feel a little worse about my life after Brian opined negatively that he has to live with Amy.

    (I'll take your place) :D

  • I want to see more of Lucy, she is greattttttttttttttttt

    BIG G

  • "And the winner of the award for 'Best sideways glance' is....

...Brian Dalton for 7:09 of Mr. Deity and The Magic!"

  • Another great example of saying one thing while getting the exact opposite message across! (2 examples, actually)

1st part's a tad long, though. Towards the end I was feeling a bit "OK already".

    Rony

P.S. "Hannuka" is closer to the Hebrew name than "Chanuka" with 'ch' as in "cheese". The first syllable is a guttural "Chah", so if you're not comfortable with that, stick with "Hannuka".

  • Happy Festivus

  • One of your very best, and I love the shirt!

  • You know what always freaks me out with your videos... I always think my cellphone rings at the end of the sketch :-P

  • I've never been able to pick out guys who are attractive to women, so I don't know, but she is gorgeous. Many congratulations to Mr Deity, you lucky man.

  • Happy Rick Berman's birthday!

  • "...to the confabulation you just regurgitated."

You atheists and your big words.

  • @lazyperfectionist1 i know we do! its awesome! and by saying that like that i completely disproved my point. yay.

  • And mine.

  • I gotta say, Lucy's reading list rocks.

  • happy mid winter

  • I was waiting for his hand gestures to stray a bit too far and smack into her.

  • 0.0... He is so slow XD

  • Merry Chrrtmas!

  • mr. d-

what are the chances you'll be at TAM8?

  • yea i'm lovin' this shit.

    keep it up mr. deity.

i wish this was on tv ;)

  • This is hilarious!!!!!! The combination of fictional tales (the bible and x-mas tv specials) is just brilliant.

  • Matthew, John, Paul and Ringo?!!!!...Just laughing my arse off!!!

  • Another very funny episode Brian, I am happy to see you did a Xmas skit.

My only request is to slip in some more innuendos and visual jokes, like the banana from "Mister Diety and the Science Advisor", those things always add a special touch!

Lucy's facial expressions were priceless, however. All together very excellent!

  • There are some christians who are actually THIS STUPID. You ask for evidence of God and they start quoting The bible.

  • I thought that 80% of the people in America who believe in a God do not believe that God is a personal being? Where did I hear this?

  • I love Lucy! Thanks for bringing her back again in this very funny script- though I think she deserves more lines and to say even more than she did, esp about NORAD playing along with a fun game and all. :) GO LUCY! And I hope to see even more of you, with more lines. Happy holidays to all who perform Mr. Deity.

  • Most of the time, it's me doing Amy a favor. She's extremely busy and doesn't really have the time for this at all --- just doing the show is a favor to all of us. So, I usually try to keep things light for her. Also, she's such a great reactor -- and so gorgeous -- her little looks tells us everything we need to know about what's going on in that head o' hers.

  • El replied to me! lol You're not Lucy, but just as good. (just teasing, for I do appreciate reading a response from one of the creators of Mr. Deity.

Yes, her face does say a lot, but somehow I can relate to her, esp as a thinking woman. It's like she says and thinks, esp with her facial reaction, much like I do. She's great and I hope you let her know that she has at least one fan out here in Mr. Deity viewer land, even if she doesn't have enough time to be in more shows. :) Thanks.
