  • He used to walk me home when I left the pub too late and didn't like walking alone in the dark.

  • I never knew his real name 'til now; I only found out a few hours ago that he died.

    It goes without saying that it's a great shame, especially considering the circumstances around his death.

    He was a great guy who wouldn't have done anyone any harm; he'll be missed by more people than I think he'd ever have himself realised.

    I often thought of him and wondered when I'd see him again; now I know I won't.

    I'm lucky to be on of those who did meet him, if only a couple of times.

    R.I.P. Bear.

  • I ran into him a few times over the years. Down Stokes Croft and King Street. Friendly guy. Thank you for making and sharing this video.

    He was the only poet who words I didn't think were irrelevant and tedious. I don't know whether that says more about me.

    RIP Bear. Not Forgotten.
