  • That's awesome, Doug! I need to try that sometime!

  • Great video. Had great times on the tieton this year with some of these guys, I mean a real hell of a time. Thanks again.

  • I see a pattern with that little blue cooler.... first the Pendelton, then the Fireball... tragedy on the Salmon. Sick run though!! Holy Cow!!

  • Awesome vid - love it.

  • we ran the slide at 42000 in a jrig it was fun it was running at 84 this weekend tempting

  • I want to know about the dory! Great functioning craft! Too bad about the sound. I'd like to have seen it with the audio effects.

    Good work!

  • Good run!! but i did this rapid at 50,000 cfs with my grand canyon equipment, actually haad four people go swimming and picked them up about 1 mile down river, now thats a ride!!

  • this is truly epic footage...especially in the drift/dory....my comrades and I just built a dory boat about a year ago from scratch and got some similar footage of running the green room in granite rapids on the snake around 22 thousand. The title is loathed river crusades and it has random Middle fork and snake river footage throughout with a green room climax at the end....anyways great footage!!!!

  • No outfitter - private trip, but with guys on the oars with 15+ years guiding the Salmon. Doug Dennis (dory captain) is well-known in Riggins, and also goes by the alias "SalmonRiver1", oddly enough...

  • Who is the outfitter?

  • Great video man nice run !

  • I ran the slide in a 24' gear boat @ 35,000cfs - 36,000cfs when I was 14, then hiked back up twice to run a couple inflatable kayaks through for guests that didn't want to run it. Stayed upright all three trips.

  • My little sister swam it at 35k. She jumped out of a perfectly good thirteen foot raft. She thought it looked pretty small too. Just exactly like lunch counter. (If it had a highway right beside it, and a bunch of people watching with throwbags,etc...) I think you should have shown more of the guy rowing the dory. I heard that he's lots better looking than those other guys butt!!! Rafts wallow and dories dance.

  • I think my dad holds the record for the slide so far weve gone through it at 36 thousand CFS. It was pretty scary as we were in a 28 ft twin.

  • lookes like lunch counter at 24000 cfs on the snake. We ran it too.
