when i did helms deep in campagne i putted rangers on the wall and let the farmers and horses die. i tryd to keep up the archers but it didn't work xD so i retrieted and putted legolas at the left gate i filled my hole place with horses and waited for gandalf then attacked at behind and at the front of the uruk-hai :P

I was playing the game on Hard and they had destroyed the wall with the ''bomb'' and i went back to the highest level of the fort..I put my archers there (they was already 8 units with flaming arrows) and the PC sent 20 armies with forged blades and heavy armors plus all valistras(just 4) AND THEY COULDNT REACH THE LEVEL because i had closed the gate and the passage was guarded from the archers...there comes rohirrims and save Helm'a Deep...really big story mates....

I struggled with this level first time round lost all my heroes, half my army it was only until eomer and co arrived that i won the battle but have to do the mission again cause my laptop picked up a virus >.<

this game is so much better than BFME 2 but what i like in BFME2 that you get lots more troops per battalion and this game has rohan lol

Isn't it more easy to win this battle when you upgrade your archers with heavy armor? I always do that and they take much less damage...

I remember I did this on evil campaign... the riders with fire arrows fired at one of my bombs. It took out my siege works, Eomer, Gandalf and 2/3rd of the reinforcements. Now that's a victory. :P

Your pretty good but you should keep max troops to keep to the strategic method of winning. But healing your heroes 'outside' is a good way and you did that nice job.

My battle was glitched. When i used reinforcements, only one of my troops came with Eomer and Gandalf

theres a cheast to this to get more troops over the command points. u just dont revive a group with only like 3 survivors and u make more troops. then u revive them after and now u have more troops over the command points

Cool Fight. But you can also just let them destroy the outer perimeter and retreat to the inner one. Its easier to defend.

one thing i do in helm deep is i combine alll he peasents with the archers and upgrade them (sword ,armour, rank,arrow,) and just let the uruk-hai come it's easer then just haveing to recuite more and more units all the time. GOOD BATTLE tho reallly cool

When I retreated to the Hornburg, it took the Uruk-hais a while to get there. Legolas was busy shooting all of them. Lol

They should really make some Rohan foot soldiers, farmers fail. :o

This was definately the best level, if your on the defensive side!

destroy the bomb with fire arrows.Send cavalry at the ballista and heroes.i once won this level with Eomer's army combined only by peasants but of course fully equiped and with the power unlocked.amazing game by the way..

i destroy it many times a tip:use catapults archers gandalfs skills hobbit throwing stones and archers with fire arrows use my tip and u will destroy it easy

cara eu nem botei guerreiro no portão principal, só botei um bando de arqueiro e peasants na mulhara e os heróis tbm, só que vacilei e eles explodiram a mulhara, ai eu recuei para a torre e aguentei eles até o gandalf e o eomer chegar xD

@leatherface4444 I always destroy Grond - just use any archer battalions that are close enough to it, use Gandalf's Istari Light and Lightning Sword, Faramir's Wounding Arrow, assign all nearby trebuchets to attack it and (if you have that power) use Summon Rohan Allies.

@SLAW3LL Everything. Fully upgraded ranged by the walls, and all hero abilities. It didn't even manage to get half the gate down, then I just repaired it, and mordor didn't stand a chance ^^
