  • Fantastic stuff

  • Very Good, it has been a while since you publish this video, maybe you improved or not, but still i would like to recommend something. This sounded very mechanical, like a guitar pro software or a powertab, try changing wherever volume, tempo, sustain notes, it will give some of your expression. greetings and a lot of practice

  • Well done Ivan! Consistent throughout.

  • Nice Job, but I'd advise you to slow down a little bit. It's not the speed that makes this piece so brilliant.

  • the key to playing this song, whether slow or fast: RELAX BOTH HANDS!!!! im not an expert, but i cannot stress this enough. for this song, if you let your hands flow naturally, youll be able to play it much faster and much cleaner.

  • My fahter use to play this song when I was a child it AMZING hear this song once again!

    Té +

  • Very well done with some proper fingerings.

  • Nice playing, I like the fret board on your guitar gives the instrument personality, I would like to ask what brand guitar that is and what strings do you use. I find that sanding off the french polish on my classical guitar has improved the sound of it, and instead to protect my sound board I use tung oil, which gives the guitar a more natural looks and in time will improve the sound even further. Just as long as I don't spill anything on it heh. Try using aquila's nylon gut strings I like them

  • fantastic video. im 13, been tking clsical lesons for 6 months (two years boring electric before that) and i started learning this 2months ago. i was able to play it in less than 2 weeks, but when i showed it to my teacher he showd me the corect technique nd wat i was doin wrong(a ton of things). so since then ive been practicing this *VERY* SLOWLY with the corect technique, and it has come much easier. so if you're trying to learn this, practice it SLOWLY nd 1 step @ a time, nd youll progress:D

  • I'm trying to play it as fast as that with a pick, lol

Nice job, Your fretting is way better than mine! You handle those hard stretches at 0:20 and 0:26 jeez, and 0:59

Do you do any hand exercises by any chance?

  • im learning this but i can't get the G sharp root. its pissing me off!!!

  • @PaddyMagic00

That chord is a stretch indeed!

It is really a 1st inversion E7 chord....so the G# in the BASS is not the ROOT (E) of the chord, but the 3rd.

    Just a detail of notation.

A good way to get your fingers to feel comfortable playing this configuration ( and there are a few 'tricks')

is to play it up 5 frets or so so the jand stretches and gets used to the awkwardness. Then work it down a fret, then another.....do this for a minute then rest hands to not strain them! you'll get it

  • @gtrrobster The F natural note on the 1st string e at the 1st 1st fret actually makes this chord a G# diminished 7th chord, not a 1st inversion E7

  • The stretch at 0:28 is a little tricky.

  • The thing is that I practice every day now but with 4 months of work I saw only that I push the frets smoother and have a better rythm intelligence. Good thing is that my right hand goes with it's own pace and with little practice every day is getting better.

Anyway now I'm bragging, by any chance thanks for advice/info.

  • By the way if you do the cresendo, diminueto and dynamics right in that speed I think you go for virtuosso style play.

  • I have to ask something how much time have you play guitar and I ask that because in playing prespective your play is just perfect. I play guitar for 4 months now and in that song I have problem on the opening in fa-do-mi-la or f-c-e-a the phrace that finishes the first page, what you sugest me to do.

Some people told me to play scales that will make my fingers more flexible they say.

  • @atzitzikas Unfortunately, there is no quick way to learn anything. The only advice I can give is to keep practicing - every day. If you're passionate about guitar then it won't seem like a chore but merely part of the experience. To answer your question: I've been playing for over 10 years, but a lot of that period (the past 6 years) has been without a teacher.

  • I think you have forgotten make bass silent :) look at the sheet carefully :) Nice job!!

  • respect! it's such a beautiful piece, but so hard to play!

  • you look nice ;)

  • This speed is perfect, I like it.

  • amazing. amazing. keep up the good work.

  • wow!!!!!

love this song i'm learning it ....your video iso helping

    tthanks

  • Some very good fingering. Remarkably consistent given the tempo you have chosen. There appears to be a very minor slip at 0:45. Well played.

  • nice,,,,im working on this piece and its a little confusing!!!i mean to read it!! its easy to play but hard to read!!!

  • nice finger postition 5stars..

u just need to sell soul to a devil to play perfect..

  • You got the speed and the notes down I'd imagine getting it down without even a slight errors within the transition of chords is the key to playing it even more fluid. I can play this not as quick but I'm experimenting with which chords to use near the end. Good job.

  • I prefer this speed

  • very speedy...more slowly

  • incredible

  • Exquisite, beautiful, every nuance disciplined and perfect. Thank you for posting such a wonderful performance.

  • Thank you all for your kind words.

  • You play too .. and this guitar has excellent sound ... I congratulate you play very well ...

  • very well done!! i think this piece is not easy to play...:S

  • the speed is the hardest part the trick is to relax your fingers and just let them flow

  • Very nice song as you said! I liked it too! ^_^

  • Wow. I think i have looked at every version on youtube. This is the best. Very very nice. Tell me... would u ever post an online lesson on this piece???

  • bello...

  • i've never heard this piece on guitar, it's very beautiful. i can only play it on the piano which is also nice. great job, i enjoyed listening.

  • Well, I've to tell you something, the tempo is good, I saw another faster interpretation, And when it's fast, it's not necessarely beautiful, congratulation, I'm gonna learn it in a week.

  • Fast isn't necessarily good. Technique, tone, interpretation and feeling are paramount in classical recitals. This guy us an excellent player.

  • very good

  • Very good !

  • Hey nice guitar skills. I wish i can play the guitar.

  • thanks, but check out the andres segovia version. he goes even faster

  • @ivan2549 Yeah -- Segovia blows through it.

  • @ivan2549 ya but hes segovia lol he can do what he want :P really though good job i just finished learning this I personally prefer it a bit slow not much but just so you can feel all of the chords but seriously great job

  • @ivan2549 yeah but he is also Andres Segovia though. he's a monster. i still like you're tempo its about how quick im playing it right now.

  • @ivan2549 lol...you're no segovia!

  • @CriterionCoIIection i'm aware of this :P i'm just saying that a faster interpretation exists

  • awesome stuff man
