I think the quality is excellent. Ordered one from amazon.co.uk at 32 pound reduced from 70. Good to see their is no lag here and you just used the software that came with it. 720p or not the image is still great and its doubtful I'll find a better webcam at that price. Ignore the dickheads about the moustache I checked out for the vid to see the image quality not what you look like which was great and you gave me a good presentation of the subject. Mine is it on it's way.

While the image is pretty good, I noticed you have only 480p showing here. With my LifeCam HD 5000, I got the same thing when I recorded using the YouTube video setup. After I premade a video in 720p and Uploaded it - THEN - I got the full 720p.

Still at 480p not bad. - Ignore the ignoramouses making rude comments. Be yourself , do your thing - and let the idiots be themselves (they're morons - makes me wonder about their upbringing)

@Muskateering - I just pre-record my videos from LifeCam itself with the HD setting - then upload it rather than recording it using YouTube's online recorder. Every time I use their recorder I get a lower resolution.

@ImTheDaveman Ah thanks, I wasn't planning on uploading with youtube when I get it anyway I was going to manually upload the file as usual. One question, what's the file type, avi, mpeg, wmv? Youtubes online recorders for video editing suits have always given inferior quality. I've never used a webcam in my life and this is my first, do you think it's a good product and does the job? I got it for less than 50% off on amazon, 32 pounds from 70. Still waiting for it to arrive so still curious.

@Muskateering - I record using WMV but AVI will work just as well. I purchased mine from an Amazon Subseller and other than the AutoFocus acting up for no reason, its a good web cam for the lower price I paid. I turn the AutoFocus off and adjust the slider to get the focus I need. You have to UnClick the TRUE COLOR box to access the settings - and click the 2nd tab to find the AutoFocus and uncheck the box. I think mixed lighting plays a part in throwing off the autofocus - so experiement.
