  • LOVED THIS FILM.

  • I enjoyed the movie. It was really close to the true origin of Captain America. Only two things were wrong with the movie. The love story wasn't really needed and i got slightly irritated by the overuse of CGI. There were some scenes that could have been done on a set but were done with CGI instead. Loved Stanley Tucci

  • The Red Skull is one of the only villains to actually kill the hero.

  • Just saw it on Netflix. Overall I give it a 4 because the ending and CGI were awesome, which distinguishes it from Thor. I'm not a fan of 40s super hero issues, They're too literal and takes away the fantasy. Also, back in the days of Spiderman, the Xmen and even The Hulk, which I really enjoyed, there was excitement for the next one!!! Now I'm feeling bored, there are so many hero movies and shows. Did the Red Skull every say "avita zein"? Anyway his accent was weak.

  • Oh guys I forgot I saw the film back in October. Sorry for just now, school go in the way. The movie was great. Truly did have the spirit of the comics. Though the one thing this movie could do without, nix that romantic subplot. Take it out, wouldn't notice. Other than that, its great!

  • Oh man, Kate Beckinsale as Peggy Carter would have been so good! Still great job and I enjoyed the movie.

  • German accent...scary... LOL!!!!

  • is it just me or was this movie really sad at the end

  • @ijones81 Kind of was. I can understand that.

  • the creepy part is that he actually ends up dating and doing her granddaughter

time travel man...or whatever you call being stuck in ice

  • @TheDrYes cryogenics or hibernation; that's how you call being stuck in ice and alive

  • CHECK OUT THE DARK KNIGHT RISES SPOOF ON OUR PAGE!

  • I dont get this anomaly... Haward Stark was in early 20's in 1942, then in Ironman 2 they show Tony to be 10 when Haward was 40+; so doesnt that make Ironman 60+ old???!!!

  • @ramnathpaip Actually, Tony would probably be around 40something. Howard died when Tony was young, making Tony Stark born in the 1960s. I don't know.

  • I know nothing about captain america and im english but this film was amazing chris evans was really good probably my favourite comic book of all time.

  • @schmoesknow

You know the soldier with the huge moustache who said at one point: "You know, kraus, one day I'm going to get a stick too." before getting locked up?

I can't believe Marvel made a huge plot hole like that by not ever showing him getting a stick!

  • I know the red skull was not all that bad to me it was missing something

  • this is one of many things that made me mad to much cg to much lack of common sense especially at the end breaking laws of physics especially at the end he's not superman he cant do that! and they seemed to run out of idea's at the end sorry im nit picking but it just wasn't that great to me and way over-hyped :/

  • human torch now will be the next batman!

  • U were so angry about those bad apples that I didn't really follow what u said about the avenger thing and how they got it removed from ur screening. lol

  • Loved this movie! alskfjlskd. it's a good thing my friends forced me to watch this with them. :>

  • I loved it. Saw it twice. Will probably go again this weekend.

  • I didn't like the action montage once the soldiers were rescued

  • YODA!

  • The bit in the trailer where he says " I got beat up in that ally." Is also the same ally where I go for piss after a night out. Small world.

  • Saw it today I, thought it was great. I was worried because the trailers looked kinda cheezy, might be the most pleasant surprise of the summer. The story was good, the special effects of puny rogers where seamless, chris evans was impressive (acting wise and physically), and the tie-ins really got me excited for the Avengers (mission accomplished) This & X-men were the best superhero flicks of the summer. Always considered myself a DC girl but Marvel is kicking booty with these films

  • I saw it twice!!! The Avengers teaser was Bad Ass!!! FULL PRICE rating!!!

  • I agree. I liked the way they worked up to calling him Captain America and wearing the costume. And they definitely pulled off the scrawny Chris Evans.

  • I saw the movie today and OMG, THE MOVIE IS AWESOME! And after the movie is a teaser trailer of the Avengers. I can't wait to MAY 2012

  • @CoreyBrownReviews Don't believe Rotten Tomatoes! I just came back from the theater and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Almost as much as the first Iron man. I highly recommend it.

  • hey guys how do you guys put those trailer scenes in your videos?

  • SMOKING LOL I THOUGHT THE SAME

  • Wait, you mean The Lord of the Rings not The Hobbit, right?

  • Ya Chris Evans did a great job!

  • Just watched it. Was very good. My only complaint is that third act seemed rushed and Red Skull was as menacing as an 80's Bond villain.

  • I just got back from seeing this film and I loved it....I agree with everything you guys said. Bring on The Avengers!!! Great Review guys!

  • @CoreyBrownReviews rotten tomatoes are idiots they bashed thor alot aswell!

  • Saw it and loved it. Got a free upgrade to 3D due to some technical difficulties in the normal theater, and was reluctant at first, but the 3D was surprisingly non intrusive and wasn't bad. Totally felt the Idiana Jones element, and Chris Evans was perfect. I liked this more than Thor, and almost as much as Iron Man. And boy, did you miss the after the credits scene. It was incredible.

  • best quality avengers trailer watch?v=dohS0XdBlXA

  • This movie was awesome!!! I'm sure you guys have seen the trailer at the end by now.

  • Oh and guys where is 3D corner? I really want t know how good it is. The trailer seemed 3D perfection. Evey scene something was coming at you etc. It got me really pumped to see it in 3D.

  • Oh wait I seen you ealier comment, "3D was worthless" thats a real shame.

  • I would say its the best person CGI since The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

  • Capt. America was awesome I agree . And yes you guys messed the avengers trailer. My eyes blew up haha.

  • i loved the movie. but i would have liked it better if it came out on the 4th of july lol. just would have made a TON of sense

  • O'Schmoels rule!

    Fuck rotten veg-it-ables...like ar-u-ga-las. AAAAAyyyyyyyyy!

(two movie ref's in one there. im a beast!)

The Mayor of Schmoeville is drunk and with office "help"!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just saw this film and i agree with you guys, i thought it was good, some parts did get a little slow tho, i saw the avengers trailer you guys were talking about too and while it did get me excited for it, it didnt reveal as much as you guys were probably hoping for

  • For a moment thought it would be a let down until I saw yalls review because I dont think there is a movie we disagreed on yet. So thank you and definetly excited to see it.

  • I'm glad u made that joke before she died. If this review came out after it would make u look like a serious dick. Oh well, all in good spirit I guess.

  • definately wil c it a 2nd time.

  • ITS HIS KIND THAT DID THIS TO ME ... so funny that needs to go into a movie some where

  • I am SO glad I was wrong. The smaller Steve Rogers worked perfectly within the context of the movie. It was jarring in the trailer. I loved what they accomplished with the period setting. (LOVE Rocketeer too)

This is currently my favorite movie of the year. Super 8 and X-Men right behind.

  • Move over THOR, the Captain just kicked your butt! This film has to be the best super-hero film of the summer and easily in contention as one of my favorite films based on Marvel comics characters.

The film was a perfect blend of action and character, just as the first Iron Man film showed the evolution of Tony Stark, we see Steve Rogers become the icon he was created to be. The humor, unlike the sometimes forced jokes in THOR, were deadon. How could you not love the theme song? Good review

  • Anyone else think Red Skull looks like Voldemort?

  • i'm excited to see this, when it comes in finland 19.8.2011

  • Haven't seen the film yet, but LOL at Kristin's imitation of the red skull "running around" - if he really does run like that in the movie than I guess he is not very menacing at all

  • Did anyone else get really sad at the end when he was like, "I had a date" =(

  • That reminds me, I finally saw the Empire Strikes Back for the first time in my life last night. I know, I know. But it was on my list of goals for the year.

  • Is Yoda the something different?

  • Hey dudes! Great show :) and can't wait for the friends with benefits review..... I have an eighth of a boner in anticipation

  • love it

  • I'm bringing my Social Security card. Thats as American as you can get.....

    Can't wait!

  • Gonna watch it tonight

  • Was the 3D better or worse than Harry Potter? I'll pay 3 dollars more to see gimmicks like shields flying out of the screen, but only if there is any.. So Yeah, Better or worse 3D compared to Hp7?

  • seeing it midnight!

  • Im so glad you guys gave this a good review. im so excited to see it tomorrow, im a HUGE fan of period films (Cinderella Man, etc), and i have this weird thing for WWII too lol. thanks for the review! i can't wait to see it!!! this will be my summer action movie :] (i didn't even bother to see green lantern)

  • It's great this one turned out to be really good as director Joe Johnston is an ok director and his recent flicks like THE WOLFMAN kind of scared me..as that movie was dreadful..but ye. great review guys.

  • @CoreyBrownReviews it isn't really getting bashed anymore, as it has a tomato meter of 69%, which is good.

  • love to hear your review of the new spider-man teaser!

  • Midnight baby oh yeah!!!!

  • Thanks for the review guys got me pumped into watching this film.

  • don't really care about Captain America , i might see it but yeah

  • We liked your review of 'Captain America'. didn't agree with you though LOL, but you two are very funny. We only gave it 2 bagels out of 5.

  • @twojewsonfilm Yeah it was just a fun popcorn flick for me, I think it is a great set up for the Avengers but if you aren't into superheroes, I can see why you didn't enjoy it. Always good running into you guys!

  • @schmoesknow The hobbit or LOTR because the hobbit isnt out yet, great review

  • @twojewsonfilm Same here. I did love the last X Men and I'm a big Bat Man and Superman fan. I even watched SMALLVILLE...Hmmm maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that one. LOL.

  • @twojewsonfilm thor or captain america????? just want someone to give me there perspective

  • The 70's... ASS!. The 90's... SHITLOAD OF FUCK!. 2011... FINALLY!, a Captain America movie everybody loves!.

  • @TheAdam1995 ass? shitload of fuck? are you the angry video game nerds brother?

  • @MrHUddin I wish but no. I was just quoting the greatest gamer of all time. Still, at least we got a good Captain America movie... FINALLY!.

  • 4 Schmoes, nice! i want to see Captain America, sold.

  • lmao! "the Chis Evans Face on Amy Whinehouses body!"

  • I honestly dont care what anyone says I know Im gonna love this movie. I cant wait man honestly im going as soon as I can to go see it. good review guys

  • Great review as always. And the CGI, was very very good.

  • Nice review guys. I am looking forward to this very much.

  • Same with me! We didn't get the teaser either I told people around me to stay and they were ticked at me when there was nothing haha it sucked. Really liked the movie though, and I thought of Rocketeer also. Loved Hugo Weaving, love that guy.

  • I'm going at midnight tomorrow night!

  • Something is different. Only problem is what?

  • Nothing happened after the credits at my screening either. I was pissed so i don't think u missed much 2 be honest.

  • how much of howard stark was in the movie and was he really a big deal or gave any small hints for the avengers.

  • For me the 3D ruined the movie. it gave me a headache and it was just pointless. Other than that it was a solid movie. Love u guys btw, awesome review like usual. Keep up the good work.

  • Thor sucked!!!!!

  • @CoreyBrownReviews Just see it in 2-D, it'll be so much better on your eyes (and your wallet).

  • @CoreyBrownReviews I don't trust Rotten Tomatoes, most people on that site are over 50 and have no idea what perspective true film fans are watching from. 3D was worthless

  • @schmoesknow You know fom the moment i saw the trailers I knew this movie wasnt gonna dissapoint.Im now excited. Thanks again for an awesome review guys.

  • @schmoesknow Look, I'm over 50 and think I can be pretty open to a lot of films. Personally, I don't care for Rotten Tomatoes for the reasons you state. I tend to ignore what they say and a long time ago stopped even going to the site.

  • Was there any "cartoon cat" type comedy?

  • @InsaneBurger No not really, I mean there is some cheese but I thought humor fit the tone

  • Yay I am glad you guys liked it, now I need JeremyJahns review to get me pumped for this movie.

right now Rotten Tomatoes has a 58% and I hope this changes because I have a feeling that I will like this better than Thor (and I was not a fan of it)

  • I would definitely recommend this film as you guys have and love seeing Cap kick some ass with that iconic shield. I'll probably go see it again. Not to pimp my own show, you guys should check out my "Captain America: Behind the Shield" special on Reelz. It's everything Cap and it's got some pretty interesting tidbits from the cast and Mr. Stan Lee.

  • I saw the film and like you guys I thought it was very well done. The visuals were outstanding and the casting was spot on. Especially Chris Evans who was PERFECT as Steve Rogers/Captain America. I'd give it 4 out of 5 (or a B+) only because I felt like there were some great moments that Joe Johnston (the director) could have really taken advantage of, but didn't quite capture it - one liners, etc. And the "hot chick" you speak of is Hayley Atwell who may just be my new favorite Brit.

  • You guys are the best.... Keep up the good work ... From Joe... Just a boy from Brooklyn :-)

  • I probably won't watch it

  • @pmunkyandpals11 good on ya

  • Don't worry, boys. I'll find out what's after the credits for you. I'll tell ya on Facebook.

  • You guys look like you had too much fun doing this

  • So there is no Avengers trailer afterwards ? :(

Cant wait to see this movie on Friday, would you say it's better than Ironman?

  • Last superhero film of this summer! And I can't wait! Painted my toe nails blue and red. Braces blue and red. Skin blue and red... Well no on the last one, anyway, very excited because I want to see this and the Avengers trailer 0_O Glad you guys liked it. Anyway going to the store and picking up a shield. Wish I could go to Comic con then I would be able to geek out about it with other fellow geeks. :P

  • I'm really looking forward to this. I really enjoyed Thor and I'm pretty certain this will be pretty awesome too. How can it go wrong with Tommy Lee Jones and Stanley Tucci? :)

ps -- Tommy Lee Jones does the tough with heart role very well. He's done so in quite a few movies.

  • Hahaha!! Awesome guys, im totally gonna watch it n all but it all gets down to this...3D OR Non-3D....?? And abt that credit cutting, same shit happened to me to when i watched the premier of Thor...that was juz sad man....Anw thnx 4 the review, u guys got me all prepped up for this!

  • Cool review. Good to hear you guys liked it. Will definitely check it out, then bring on the Avengers!

  • Nice review, definitely gonna see it this week. But of the three Marvel movies that came out this year which did you guys like the most?

  • @someprsn14 For me, Kristian: X-Men First Class, Thor and then this

  • In addition, the costume looks stupid and why did they make a mega soldier out of this scrawny kid?

Well, with all that said, this was an awesome review and it did get me ready to see the movie! Thanks guys!

  • I'm both excited and not excited. Everyone is excited for it, and if I had to predict, everyone is going to love it. Here's the problem: everyone loved Thor too. And I hated that movie with a vengeance. Everyone loved the Iron Man movies too. I think they're just cheesy. Everyone loved X2. I hate that movie. So, I have a pretty unpopular negative outlook on Marvel superhero movies, except for the first three parts of the X-Men timeline, and even then I didn't like First Class as much as everyone

  • @IDaCashman If that is the case Cash, you will most likely not like this

  • @schmoesknow O Boi...well, thanks for the warning.

  • Ill be seeing it first week, opens here the 28th of July. I imagine it will far surpass Thor but I cants eeing it beating First Class which is my best of the year so far.

  • I'm so excited for this movie, can't wait to see it! Are you guys excited for the Avengers movie?

  • is it better than x-men first class ? really want to know

  • @johnyd1231 No way, in my opinion (Kristian)

  • I will probably watch it.

  • @92monster6 Have fun if you do!

  • Well, now I really want to see this. If you're gonna see it twice in theaters. And I really like the Rocketeer so there that is.

What do you guys think about the 1990's Cap movie? What does this new movie do right that the previous one didn't?

  • @BWGgy Oof the old one was painful. The budget and acting for starters, the old one looked like ti was made in the backyard of an car salesman

  • @FarCry21 She's a good looking gal

  • I'm the guy who posted the Avengers trailer on your wall...shit, I'm sorry -_-

  • @OfficialAnchorsplash Hahahha, it is ok. Don't mind that you did. It was just that the bootleg caused PAramount to pull the trailer from the screening we saw

  • is the avengers teaser trailer after the credits?

  • @chriscmac23 Did you watch their review dude? They said it was taken out of the screening they saw

  • He may have not seen that part tuf, it is ok

  • @chriscmac23 I hear it is but the screening we saw, the trailer was pulled because of the bootleg problems

  • I'm glad Evans seems to do great in the role of Cap..those fantastic four movies make me want to punch an infant..

  • @TheCinemaTologist Those movies were awful, almost like Red Sox being in first place! Zing! Just messing with you pal! You can't help the team you root for is evil, ha

  • @schmoesknow hahahaha its ok man, I hear second place gets a nice consolation prize!

  • im excited for captain america now after watching your review! hehe :D

  • @thuaners Good! We hope you enjoy it.

  • @SavageMick1 It is exactly that Mick. I go back and forth. I think if I rescored it it would be 3.5 but I really liked it for what it was, entertaining summer movie

  • Comment removed

  • his kind LOLOLOL

I cant fucking wait to see this! so glad yu guys liked it

  • @riseofhonor IT was a fun ride

  • thanks for this guys, that pisses me off if theyve pulled the avengers trailer from the credits for everyone, my boss refused to watch this incase you gave out spoilers ahaha

  • @mhammer1777 Do we ever spoil Hammer? They only pulled it for our screening, sure it will be back up once it is released wide

  • can't wait to see capt america

  • @selgomezfan945 Have fun!

  • @schmoesknow thanks. keep up the awesome videos

  • Your review gives me hope. Rottentomatoes depressed me. I will definately see this movie.

  • @Theegamedude Rotten Tomatoes has jumped the shark

  • Do you recommend 3D or....?

  • @eXoTTiC360 Nah, useless

  • @schmoesknow SMH.. in every trailer.. "In 3D".. i really dont get it... Superhero movies would be awesome with great 3D effects.

  • Glad to hear this is good. I'll look forward to seeing it now.

  • @Garrison64 Just remember it is a summer popcorn flick and you will have fun

  • there's gonna be the HD trailer for the Avengers after the credits.

btw, WHERE IS THE ROCKY POSTER?!?!?! (did you already mail to me? ;] jk)

  • @expIorer5148 Rocky poster is on vacation

  • gonna see it, probably not on opening day. Since you guys have seen the footage that shows after the credits, what did you think?

  • @zizzlerizzle8707 Haven't seen the footage, they removed it from the screening we went to in order to prevent piracy. Bummed

  • Cap throws his mighty shield! I am there!

  • @IG2HI He does and quite often I might add

  • Oh and great video review can't wait to see it.

  • @zhayes01 Thank you, hope you like it

  • I'm going to see Cap right away. I've had my doubts (Hugo Weaving aside), but I've been hoping it would end up being good fun. Glad to hear you guys liked it better than Thor!

I'm not sorry Evans was Johnny Storm...he made that movie not-dull.

BTW, Hugo Weaving was in Joe Johnston's last movie (The Wolfman), and was definitely the best thing about it.

  • @CineRam To be clear, Ellis liked it more than Thor, it is # 3 on my superhero list this year.

  • this is the movie i've been waiting for all summer. i'll definitely be going opening night if i can (work and such). glad to know it's not a letdown

  • @jaywd3090 If you go it wanting to have fun, you will

  • Did you guys see it in 3D if you didn't do you think it's worth seeing in 3D? I'm going to see it tomarrow night and I'm not for sure if I should see it in 3D or not. I don't like 3D but transformers was good in 3D so was jackass 3D. The last 3D movie I saw was Saw 3D and I hated it. So I'm picky with 3D. I saw the trailer for captain America in 3D it looked pritty cool in 3D with the shield comeing at the screen.

  • @zhayes01 No, it is not worth it in 3D, 3D is so overused. And converted 3D stinks!

  • i think this is your best review yet, guys.

  • @vampirictrekki Wow, thanks vamp!
