Today I saw something on "the news" about how a buch on scientists got together to study the slice of lemon that the waitress places in your cocktail, and found that it could contain up to FIVE microbes that could make you sick. Not only is that not scary...it's not even newsworthy. Scare tactics abound.
he's 100% correct. we've become abnormally scared of germs to such an extent that it has taken over our lives. we're encouraged to believe that every germ is going to kill us so we must destroy it. get real, a little bit of mud won't kill you.
