    "whoa nelly"

    :)

  • I'm working as an intern for HP now. After watching video, i feel proud for HP!

  • There's a lot of half truth comments here -

1). XP is more than just a rebadged Hitachi. HP and HItachi have had a technology relationship for over 10 years now. Many of the Hitachi developments in the XP started with HP.

2). True that there is a part of the XP that can sustain a bullet but not because there isn't anything "vital" - it's because everything is redundant so when the bullet took out half of the boards in the XP, the other half kicked in.

3). And yes, we really did this.

  • Can I just make the little point this product is in fact made by hitatchi, HP just slaps a HP badge on this and sells it at a mark up.

  • this actually happened my mom told me bout this she works for hewlett packard and she didnt get to do this but the engineers found a certain point in the computer so it wouldnt damage any vital software

  • The best part of this video is that the XP12000 is really a rebadged Hitachi Tagastore

  • did you see it did not fail even when the bullet whent thought the motherboard

  • Fishtank is now a meme.

  • wow....did they REALLY do this? great way to test redundancy and mirroring abilities

  • Wow, its meant to be slightly ummm satirical however if a disk array can take a hit from a bullet and be fine than it has excellent redudancy and stability, you guys obviously know nothing of storage and storage management.

  • This is stupid, for a number of reasons.

  • Stupid. Probability to be taken down because of software bug is much more then from bullet.

  • Awesome stuff!!
