@ThibaultTheodore What After Effects version are you using? Using the mp4 version requires CS4 or higher and QuickTime.

@PridedMAXX That is a WinRar problem. Uninstall WinRar or try right clicking and selecting Extract All.

@crazekiller123x Blender finishes almost instantly (when you can see your title, it's done). After Effects makes a "Ding" when it's finished and has a progress bar.

@RookAndPut It's normal. It's supposed to render that image in just a second. Then just go on with the tutorial, open After Effects and render from there. It's all in the tutorial.

@giboconnor Use the numpad keys or the middle mouse button to navigate around in the different angles. Search for the tutorial name in YouTube. I've also sent you a PM. To change text color, go to Material and change the color there or change the texture source.

@sornai Stop stops the rendering it can't be resumed. There is however a pause button, which pauses the rendering.

@sornai Normally, this error is fixed by redownloading. Unzip by rightclicking on the zip folder and selecting extract.

Dear Ballyweg, I hope to address this in a way you can understand. I uploaded your link and began creating my own custom Lionsgate intro. This worked twice and now after I create my new text and go into the AE program, it tells me that 4 files are missing and I am unable to create the intro. What is wrong? I'm using a 30 day free version of the AE CS5. Please Help. I also have deleted your link and redownloaded again and same problem.

Experiencing some challenges....in AE I get rainbow screen, but since it says original file will not be altered I went through the rest of the steps anyway. When I get to the step of choosing format DivX Codec is not an option, and when I render it says 3 files are missing.

@albertoseohandy That is possible, but you'll have to apply the same mask as the text to your logo, which requires some masking skills.

hey thanks for the tutorial. i have a problem i hope you can give some kind of answer for. after i work with blender and click animation i do nothing else right? well when I open up AE, it gives me this window that says, "After Effects: this project must be converted from version 8.0x247 (Windows) and will open as an untitled project. Standard Definition pixel aspect ratios will be updated for compatibility and improved accuacy. The original file will be unchanged." click ok and it freezes.

@local8857 That's because you have a newer version of AE (I do too). It shouldn't be any problem, but if you continue to have this problem, write me a PM with your AE version, and I'll convert the project file for you.

@graph56 0001.png is generated by blender in the first step, when you animate your title. It should automatically save to your working folder and After Effects should then recognize it. (Si tu as besoin de l'aide, envois moi un message)

@graph56 Comme je disais dans mon vidéo, si tu n'as pas le codec, render avec "Lossless" (sans codec) et puis compresse après avec un autre programme (je te recommandes XMedia Recode (MP4/H.264) ou simplement Live Movie Maker).

@NeSBigbasher This is the one you create with blender. When you click Animation, it automatically saves the title as 0001.png in the working folder.

@NiteVisionFilms Yes, somehow you don't have the right codecs. Take the source file (MP4), convert it (try WMV through Movie Maker or AVI DIVX through XMediaRecode), and then replace it in AE.

@DDOPFDSHOCKEY Yes, it is possible. In AE: Just remove the text and replace the background. Then adapt the mask.

Hey, great tutorial and concept of how you do this, but I do have a bit of trouble with it. First of all, The mask cutting out the Lionsgate Text is too slow or something, causing it to not move at the line of the gate, showing this weird border of what is the origional footage. Also, after rendering my media players - both vlc and windows - tend to become very slow and eventually crash. Do you know the solution?

@myronwouts 1. Sounds very strange, did you change anything else?

2. If you do not use the DIVX codec (rendering in lossless), you should compress the big file afterwards with Live Movie Maker or XMedia Recode.

@P0kEm0nRevolutionFaN Horror only works on CS4 and higher. Regarding this intro, I don't know what's wrong. Try saving it in an other location.

@W87Jes It's probably because of the codec. If you want smooth playback, convert it to a "lighter" format like the WMV format with Windows Live Movie Maker or XMedia Recode.

@b0wnedbymy That's because you're using 64bit. Try rendering it in lossless (don't use any codec) and then compress it using Live Movie Maker or XMedia Recode afterwards.
