  • Nick...I have to say I'm really glad to have stumbled across your work. I was youtube'ing Eventide because one of my fav electronica artists (Simon Posford) uses a couple on his Mackie 32-8 buses for some awesome effects.

Then I heard your work. Makes me regret never learning to play guitar.

    Fine work, truly fine work.

  • @tmanisaur Thanks very much for taking the time to comment! Very kind words, means a lot. All the best!

  • Once again Nick sound is just amazing and your tone is perfect great playing man!!

  • Loving this

  • Bro....great great song....great great tone. I will definately ONLY be using eventide effects. Thise delays sound kick ass.

  • RHCP should hav picked you to play on their new album

  • \o/ .. muito bom.. .. muito bom mesmo o som. Parabens

  • you, my friend, have the BEST clean tone i've ever heard. i'm trying to get something like this on my Marshall Valvestate 100v model 8100 halfstack. i'm getting close. it's just tough cause the pots are shitty and scratchy.

  • Really good!

  • After watching your video I bit the bullet and got myself an H3500. Holy smokes, I'm never going to get through all the presets! What preset are you using starting at 1:30? I'm barely scratching the surface of the 3500. Thanks again.

  • Haven't had a chance to check but it's a patch I made based on the harmony program that adds a harmony note based on a specific key. I'm also adding other harmonies with the Gt-pro. There's reverb and loads of delay too. Hope you're enjoying the Eventide!!

  • @Nickstermc i remember hearing satch saying he used a machine to do that with "why" cant remember what it was called but i didnt know there was a program!

  • How do you connect your H3000 to your amps? Or did you record this direct into the board in stereo straight from the H3000's outputs? Beautiful music, by the way.

  • I run the H3000 in the stereo effects loop of my Boss GT-pro. So it kind of becomes part of the GT-pro. I find I get the best results that way. One of the reasons I bought the GT-pro is because it has a stereo effects loop (i.e L/R send and L/R return) and is ideal for the Eventide. (It sounds amazing in stereo). I record direct to computer (via a audio interface) from the GT-pro.

  • Clicked on this all hung over after a night of drinking...took all the pain away!

  • Sorry for my impatience :p, I heard an awesome sound, and commented even before the song was finished :P.

  • Heyyy! Nice playing man,

May I ask what kind of guitar and amp you have? :)

  • what kind of reverb do you use to get like a pad kinda sound?

  • dude your cadence is like top notch bro this is like the best thing ive ever heard!!!

  • Just wondering, how many guitars have you had? Include bass guitars please.

  • Your Eventide H3000, is that like a rack setup? Rather than a stompbox? Because I was trying to find one but I wasn't sure if it was the right one. Btw, what are your thoughts on the Eventide Time Factor?

Great vid as always man, I watch it almost every time I'm on here.

  • Thanks for the compliment. Yep the Eventide H3000 is a rackmount piece of kit. It's a very powerful (and heavy) processor made back in the early 90's. Haven't tried a time factor but from what I've heard it's a fantastic delay pedal, with a huge amount of features/flexibility.

  • @Nickstermc Yeah you can't really get a lightweight rackmount haha (I'm thinking carbon fiber or something?) I've heard the same, can't really get much further without trying one. Keep the vids coming!

  • beautiful song.

    ♥♥♥it

    kudos man

  • very nice playing. It sounds really good. :-)

  • I bet you probly know how to play the Diablo games theam song if you have not heard it look it up is great

    epic beauty!

  • That's a really nice piece! I love this style! And I would like to play like this too... but I do not have the right recording tools/devices...

I just have a Line 6 POD XT.

Did you study music? Or is this just your favorite thing to do?

    Greetings from Germany,

    Alex

  • Glad you like it. Never studied music formally, it's just a hobby.

  • Absolutely lovely, thanks for posting this gem, Nickstermc!

  • have a moment somewhat resembles the sound of U2.

  • Awesome man, I'd like to hear that through my cars stereo! wish I could buy it on itunes

  • Very Frusciante-esque. I especially dig the intro, before the drums kick in.

  • Very Frusciante-esque. I especially dig the intro, before the drums kick in.

  • I love this, it's predictable in a good way - you think about what's gonna be played next and then you play that perfect note. Very fluid and yet again, a very melodic solo to boot. This is why I wanna learn all that Lydian and Mixolydian that Vai and a few other guys love so much.

  • The way you come in at 2:22 is awesome!

  • Very Pink floyd'ish

  • Dude - great tone (also like the other videos - especially "lead guitar over spacey riff")

    Btw - nice guitars

  • thats really pleasant :)

  • nice one!!

  • beautiful sound !

  • Nice piece, thx for sharing - I've been playing along "with you" on bass for 1/2 hour !

  • By the way, is your eventide OK for bass effects also ?

  • I think it would be fine. I'm pretty sure Les Claypool used one.

  • WHAT EVENTIDE ARE YOU USING?

  • Eventide H3000 D/SX

  • very great job!!

  • * * * * *

  • I'm just learning to play and this is truely inspirational. Great Job! I'd love to hear the whole piece.

  • Dude I wish all of your pieces were on itunes or something I want this music!!!!

  • @Nultic Hook up a cassette tape recorder or any recorder to your computer line outputs; record; then play back into your line inputs and record into the computer. There is probably freeware for recording to your computer. Then you can make CDs too. "P

  • really good! 5*

  • I love using delay! U have inspired me to record with it now, which I haven't done, except when I loop onstage...

    5 stars.

I have a subwoofer in my studio as I listen to this. Great!!!

  • this really reminds me of "summertime" janes addiction. sorry, i hate to compare it to other songs but it definitely has that navaro vibe. you seriously shred though and are obviously capable of writing, not just duplicating. with that said, anyone who can nail vai is ridiculously good for that ability alone. look forward to more from you.

  • You have your own instantly recognizable (beautiful) sound and style. Dude, you're ready to break it as big as you care to be, congratulations. Just a marketing tip, the Europeans eat this stuff up.

  • Something about this reminds me of The Cure...it's gotta be the etheral reverb or something like that. Great tones, bro.

  • when you played that first chord the first thing that came to mind was eric johnson :D

  • Brilliant all the way through and exceptionally good when you got to your solo at 2:23. you made the guitar scream straight away and made it talk the greatest talk ive ever heard.

your first note you hit gives me goosebumps every time i hear it because it's so amazingly good!

    Please keep it up.....

  • Nice strat :D

    really cool effects too...

  • This is really cool Nick. Sometimes when you hear a piece for the first time, you can hear what notes should be played right before it is played.. This one did this to me.. Thank you :)

  • Thanks for the kind comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • @elec123 Dude, thats just the delay... lmao

  • @tajmichael no not really :)

  • Reminds me of Music for a nurse, by Oceansize (amazing band).

  • this is awesome !! its available for downlooadd??

    keep roocking !! 5/5

  • Very nice were you using a loop satation?

  • what chord progression are you playing?

  • I'm just plucking three strings of each major chord each time. Basically root,5th and 3rd above. E.g the first chord is D so it's D(root), A(fifth), Fsharp (3rd played on 7th fret Bstring). The progression is D, C, slide back to D then down to A then C, G, slide up to A.

  • amazing

  • LOVE ITTTTT.

  • Cool stuff!

    Rick

  • Its just incredible! I Should consider buying an Eventide. 5/5 :P
