Spotify is just something Sean Parker has tapped into to make himself millions. He doesnt care about piracy or performers not getting their cut. Its no different than music corporations moaning about piracy as its them who are losing millions as they do not care about the artists who ACTUALLY make the music. Radiohead proved a point when they released IN RAINBOWS for a buy at any price download. Radiohead made more money cutting out the distributors by doing this than any other album released

@georgeyworge No its completely legit.....There's a few options about payment. It used to have an invite-feature. People who got invites can listen to unlimited music for free, but with a few ads. I think they removed invites and now they have "spotify free" which is limited to 20 hours/week.

You can also pay a small fee every month to get unlimited music without ads.

@skold33p It has to be MP3. If the songs are lossless files, like .flac, then you have to convert them to MP3 in order to import them to Spotify.
