  • can you breed a standard paint 15 or so hands to that !!! will she have her baby ok?

  • beautiful stally!!!!!!! :D and he's strutting

  • Wow...he's gorgeous. He's so graceful, almost angelic. And his coloring is amazing. Really wish I had a horse like him. :]

  • why da hell ppl cut/shorten their tails? how do they supposed to swap flies?

  • Tails are docked because when the draft horses pull carriages or plows, their tails do not get caught up in the lines and traces. We keep them flysprayed and comfortable so they are okay. Not many people do this anymore, Ragan came to us this way.

  • @aignerad

    Still a tail is better.

In the Netherlands some people, when the tails of the horses are cut of, make a new tail from the tails of slaughtered horses. They take the tail of when the horse is working but in the field they put the tail on.

  • extremeley beautiful horse. is it mixed with a paint or is it thouroughbred?

  • There is no mix. Ragan is a registered Premium Spotted Draft Stallion, who has been bred from spotted percherons and black percherons for several generations back. Premium means it is of the most desirable breeding stock and the Spotted Draft is considered a pure draft bred.

  • omg, if i had a warmblood, i would sooo find him and steal him to breed him, that would make a nice color sporthorse

  • weird colour for a draft horse, but he's beautiful

  • Thank you, The Spotted Draft Horse is now a recognized breed. He is a Premium Registered Draft of breeding stock, Grand Champion Stallion of the 2008 State Fair of Virginia Draft Horse SHow.
