MilfordEagles right! This is greco-roman wrestling. It's illegal to touch the legs. The guy on bottom is only attempting to keep from getting thrown; vastly different defense is necessary than in either folkstyle or freestyle. Good video for demonstrating difference in styles of wrestling.

It depends on what game plan you want to use if your well versed in using back arches and penetrating past a persons defensive with level changes greco-roman. Free-style employees employees throws from the upper half and lower half of the body. As for warming up to it try folk-style wrestling perhaps a tournament in your area? Anyway, not to good at giving advice just figured that might help you out.

Nope; If your defensively using your legs to stop a throw it's a two point penalty and if you offinsively trip it's a one point penalty. When throwing it's best to get your hips under the opponent to avoid a 'tripping' call. Also, you're not allowed to grab ahold of (with hands) the throwers legs while getting thrown.
