... Anything from maybe the mid-90s on (when Star Wars was re-released) isn't going to see the same kind of return on investment. Because too many people are hoarding them thinking they'll appreciate in value. The demand isn't there because the quantities are too great. There are some rare exceptions of course. Buy what you like and enjoy having it, but not because it'll increase in worth...and something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay.
Appreciate in value? Dude, if you like something, just admit it. Who cares if it appreciates in value? If you want to invest then get an etrade account, where the rewards can be much greater than a $20 profit on a toy, if that. A miniscule percentage of 'collectibles' will ever see an increase in value. 80s and earlier toys exploited this demand, and deservedly so. The toys were PLAYED with and loved, then discarded or donated. As adults, we want some of those things back....
I do buy what I like if you watch my other videos youll see I have an entire office full of stuff that I like that I admit I like with no intention of selling it. I enjoy collecting so much that id like to make it more than just somthing I put on shelves in my home.
Hence the reason for this youtube channel. I share my experiences and opinions. I am also trying to get into the business of selling collectibles as well, since I dontg have a shop that limits me to buying things on my own and reselling them. Not only does this give me a chance to see hold and enjoy things I normally wouldnt it also helps make a little extra money somtimes.
All of this means I have more to review and share with the public in the end. Either way I dont need an education on things i already know, and by the way I have some of the 2007 transformers toys that I have made over a 400 to 500% profit on, so there are exceptions to every rule, even yours.
HOLY SH!*! dude! $106!!! Your like my boy AC. He's had his stuff since we were little kids. He trusts me with his kids but not his toys! Bet your the same.
Good Luck! These things are pretty popular and seeing as how they go for such a high price that means retailers are paying hasbro alot just to get them. Its hard to find them at all and I doubt you will ever see one on clearance. I have seen wal mart keep the same old toys on the normal shelves for months without lowering the price. Only clearance I saw was the leader class brawl he went to 25 bucks but that was a year and a hald after they released him and wal mart couldnt give them away! lol
I have it!!!!!
