@ffalloutgirl If you think about it, House Ordos are similar to the Strogg from the Quake series. And they're even worse than the Ordos since their entire civilization spreads from planet to planet, while modifying every planet's population they come across.
Lol, I liked the part, where she kept moving my head. Looked kinda funny. And of course seeing Predecessor(in other words, you from the previous game) again.
... What hotness? She looks like a hooker that smoked too much drugs, then became a movie star and had too much plastic surgery. Plus she has a lame fake accent of some sort and that ALWAYS turns me off.
I sing as loud as I could for the remainder of my days, and when they covered my mouth, I would constantly blow snot out my nose and just generally make a mess. =3
They do not feed the heads, however they make the ordos a great deal of money by placing them in the ordos troop barricks. Once a coin is placed in the coinslot a force field is dropped, then the heads are field a creamy diet of a protien rich shake.
The best Ordos is in Dune 2. All this cybernetics crap in the later versions is only awkward and unfitting. Now we only need some kind of organic house using biological vehicles and weapons, then we have all the clichés nicely in one setting.
The Ordos were very interesting and a nice balance between the Atreides and Harkonnen. I've not known of many factions like them in other fictional works. I wonder what the long time fans of the Dune novels make of them.
I for one love them. Great idea and great execution (no pun intended). They do occupy a sort of third moral position in the game. It's a shame they don't show up in any of the novels. Hopefully more of them can be seen in future games. I won't be forgetting them soon.
Apparently, fear was NOT an efficient tool of management as seeing the talking head of the previous guy did not prevent the current guy suffering the same fate. New commander, same result. Perhaps the fear part ISN'T working.
Edric O is not the guy in the video, he is a MENTAT and likely a machine, they put failed strategists in these devices, mentats are too valuable, and Edric O is almost certainly a robot anyways so he would just shut himself off if they were going to torture him.
Kinda like if I were the Harkonnen commander about to be heartplugged.
I seriously would have had that poison gas tooth installed, like in the novel where Dr. Yueh installed the tooth, and with it, Leto I killed Piter before he died.
I mean, having the plug pulled out and watching Roma Atani or Yanich Kobal die from the gas would be so hilarious.
I think that would've added a nice flair to it. The only problem was explaining how the Commander got a poison gas tooth. It'd be kind of strange for someone who hasn't read the novels or seen the movies to hear a crunching noise and green gas spewing out of the dying Commander's mouth. Although it would be hilarious.
They're from a game called Emperor: Battle For Dune. The game is based on David Lynch's movie called Dune. And David Lynch's movie is based on an awesome sci-fi book series by Frank Herbert.
I'm not sure. When I was uploading the Dune 2000 vids I noticed the similarities. He was my favorite character in the entire series so I hope Edric O came to a more dignified end.
I don't know what would be worse about that kind of fate, listening to that head keep asking why they won't let him die or having an itch on your face :(
well I doubt that when you're a head only held alive by machinery, that whatever voice emulator they gave you would allow you to express a whide range of emotions :p
Not to mention... who knows how long the other guy's been there. He doesn't look too sane.

1) Hold your breath.
2) Copy all of these steps.
3) Go to two other video.
4) Paste it in the comments.
If you can do all of this without breathing you're a good pot smoker

well, which defeat is worse:
1) Atreides=the fremen kill you and drain you of your water
2) Harkonnen=they pull out your heartplug and let you die, slowly
3) Ordos=they let you live forever but as a disembodied head making you beg for death everyday
