I don't understand 1 thing, did anet nerfed the "activation time" of interupt/attack skills or what? everytime I try it this fast my ranger needs te wait a lil to activate the skill.. you seem to do it WAY faster :\ plz let me know.

@uncpire: might be the bow you are using. Recurve or short bows are the desred bows for rupting. Ping can also be an issue, as ANET admitted, part of ruptng is having a good ping...

@1Ronaldinho10: It can be interesting with the extra Pet for DPS and all... there are some Pet skills that will also give you Adrenaline to power your bar further. However, besides the gimmick of IWAY... I don't really see W/R very much... R/W I do with the Expertise lowering the cost of skills and all... but not so much W/R.

Anything out there will complement anything else in the game. Each profession will have its good sides and bad sides. And with the use of Heros and Henchmen, you can fill the gaps, usually at Monk (healer). That said, be anything you want to play and don't base what you want to play from a friend.

yeah, i know, but i was just wondering from your opinion. i'm probably going to be a mesmer. my friend is probably going to be a ranger, and my other is probably going to be an elementalist..

Mesmer will be a little tough. I recommend going Ele secondary and load points into Fast Casting if you go that route. Also Necro isn't too bad, but becareful not to spread yourself too thin with the attributes with all those hexes.

Actually i played a few weeks of WoW, so i have some skills allready. I think i could pull off being a mesmer possibly, but i dont know yet of course. Also my friend isnt exacly sure if she wants to be an Ele or a Necro yet, but i bet it'll be too tough for her to be a Necro. So she probably won't. So i got her back and the Rangers i guess. It'll be fun.

Ele or Ritualist would be the best.  Rit for the ever so popular Splinter Barrage (see my video for that) and Ele for Conjure Fire. I should post that R/E build soon... I do that after I upload the last 2 runners of the series.

hey sabre, umm yea could youu please make a vid about the old ranger build, the toucher? as u might already know the toucher is considered nooby and hated across GW but it proves really effective in AB so yea if u cant make one i will maybe do a mini vid on the toucher build (as soon as i get my gamecam working!) love ure vids and keep on making them, happy new year!

Actually, one of my friends in the game uses a the Toucher build as a team for the DD and the end boss of EotN... and it works very very well I might add. So I might go down that direction instead, and make a music video.

each game you add to your account will unlock new skills to be available to you. You can not get them before hand without the game, or the skill pack add-on for that game.

~ Can never go wrong with Monk

~ Warrior would be fun with Expertise and Melee

~ Same with Dervish but easier to combo some things and stay with a bow. Also good at condition spread too

~ Ele is okish with Conjure Fire to add damage to other preperations

~ Para is okish too... Pack Rangers can be fun

~ Mesmer and Necros are kinda blah for a secondary

Overall: Go with DERVISH. Extra condition spread, extra defense, Expertise effects Scythe skills, some healing ability. Sounds good!

ya degen doesn't really play a factor till you run into the harder foes where it can help some. But even then, you will run into foes that you can't condition at all. But being a R/P, you will get some benifits from Expertise and Condition Stacking among other things like extra armor from the shield.

I was asked this before... and in all honesty the best DPS I could see in Proph now, due to all the nerfs, is a Beast Master. There are a bunch of Beast Mastery skills that do a fair amount of damage and Energy Management too! Use Predator's Pounce, Brutal Strike and Hunter's Shot + Scavenger's Strike for Energy Management. Hunter's Shot will cause the bleeding for Scavenger's Strike's need for a condition for energy gain.

cont: Make sure you have the basics ofcorse which are Troll Ungent, Comfort Animal and Rez Skill. And also bring Distracting Shot (D-Shot)... every good ranger has to carry that on their bar if they use a bow. Hope that help!

Expert's Dexterity (PvE) and 1 Second "casting" skills. Increased Attack Speed or IAS effects skill activation. So Expert's Dexterity's 33% speed increase changes those 1 second attack skills into .67 seconds attack skills. Same goes for skills like Frenzy and Power Attack combo.

Regina is the ANET American Community Manger... meaning, she is us player's Mommy to put is plain.

I will say this much... get a ferry to the docks for 500 gold from Kamadan and get yourself max armor there.. takes like 10 seconds. From there you can get to Proph or Factions with other ferries. Those are a little more.

the actual "road" to follow can be a little tricky because you are kinda going all over the place and back tracking sometimes... but I personally liked the storylines in Nightfall more then Factions. I felt that ANET story telling got better through out the series from Faction to EotN. Proph is beside the point. but I digress... if you are having problems, just go to wiki and all the quests/mission paths will be all laid out.

about 80% of my toons are from Factions... because at the time, it was the easier way to make a toon. Not its Nightfall because you can make a level 20 toon in 3 hours...

any reason for a ranger to go melee? I kind of wanted to do ranger / dervish, but I can't find any use for it...

There are several reasons

1.) Expertise effects Melee Attacks... so those will be cheeper to use

2.) R/D = Condition Pressure! Look for "Wounding Strike Spammer" or "Escape Dervish" in the PvX Wiki Great PvP Builds! The Wounding Strike version is very popular becuase it can deal Bleeding, Poison, Deep Wound and Cripple in seconds.

3.) Another fun build is Ebon Dust Aura for mass melee blinding... or try Vow of Strength to raise your Bow damage with other PvE only skills.

depends on the build you want to run. place points in only the attributes you are using for skills... unless the attribute is like Expertise and Energy Storage, which will help you no matter if you have skills for that attribute or not since it has extra primary profession benifits. Read about each primary attribute for each profession and plan a method of "attack" for the build you want to run.

Elemental... which is why with Glint while her anti physical damage defense is up, you switch to an Icy, Ebon, Firey or Shocking weapon.
