Assuming design in NO WAY proves ANYTHING! We certainly can't assume an ancient Hebrew god whose texts have been proven false again and again - we can't even prove a human-friendly creator because the vast majority of the universe and Earth is hostile to us, we suffer disease, horror and death and we only appear in the last eyeblink of creation. A possible creator would have to be pretty indifferent to our existence.

An indifferent creator would be no different than a natural event. In fact it could be called a natural event - what's the point in arguing design - all you're doing is helping faithheads believe in silly, ancient gods.

Let's look at this verse:

This makes no sense whatsover and does NOT match up with observable phenomenon. When a bear kills a rabbit - nature says "F*ck the rabbit!" If bears kill all the rabbits - nature says "F*ck the species!" There is no kindness, mercy, goodness, punishment or any of that crap -it's just ruthless competition.

You have to approach any proposition with the tools of logic and reason using the scientific method. "the besought one" demonstrates no qualities other than power and organization which could as easily belong to a creature acting out of instinct, malevolence or another motive that shows disinterest in our existence. There is no evidence of "determination" or "goodness" or "greatness."

@templarart It's not ruthless competition, it's called free will. We've been left to our own devices. If divinity didn't allow for free will, we would simply be puppets of some puppet master. The freedom of choice has been granted ,otherwise there would be no point in diversification.
