You need to read Psalm 83 and try to find Rome in that chapter. It is not there, nor is it in the book of Obadiah.

But, as you can clearly see, all the countries of Edom are mentioned

Those who like to quote the revised Roman empire fail to take into consideration the Ottoman Empire. They simply assume the Roman Empire, but John is speaking and he tells in Rev 17 that one more empire is to come

The Ottoman empire is a mixture of every empire that came before it, and the Roman empire isnt

The problem with these old guys is, they are stuck on a way of thinking that is 30 plus years old. Revelation 17 which is a reference to Daniel 2, tells us that there will be a coalition of 10 kings whom invade Israel to destroy the Jews.

The EU has no reason to destroy the Jews, but the Muslims do

The EU cannot be Esau. The bible defines that Jacob is renamed Israel and Esau is renamed Edom. When Esau married into the lineage of Ishmael, this infiriated God and he renamed that lineage Edom from that point on.

Mohammad was a direct descendant of Ishmael, making Muslims Edom.

Again, how is the EU, Edom?

@ONErighteousNESS pre-trib is not heresy... as we read and understand the scriptures, we lean towards pre-mid-post... it's a mystery, the understanding of the rapture is not doctrinal..

@ONErighteousN I lean towards a pre-trib. I have the freedom to do so, im saved by grace, by the blood of Jesus Christ ONLY... I dont agree with you based on what ive studied and read and prayed about. believing in a pre-trib rapture is not heretical.. Rev 3:10 is the verse that reinforces my belief that the Body of Christ,(bride) is spared His Wrath to come while He deals with the nations and Israel/jews.There will always be tribulation,but there is a specific time that God removes us.Rev3:10

Both are references to persecutions, tortures, plagues, & the vials that are poured out on the earth! We will still be here but those who have the seal will NOT be touched unless God decides we will suffer for His name sake. Rev 20:4 Da early church wasn't taken up PRE or POST they didn't care if they died, they were willing rather to be absent from their bodies & present with the Lord!

@ONErighteousNESS Rev 3:10 Jesus says "i will keep thee FROM (Ek, G1536 = taken, away from,out of) the HOUR (Hora, 1355 root meaning- a certain definite time,point of time,moment)... i believe,along with many other scriptures that this is speaking of the rapture.,That those who are around at a specific point of timein history will be kept out of the wrath and testing thats going to come upon the whole earth. as it clearly says in Rev 3:10..

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord IN THE AIR: AND SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH THE LORD. (this is clearly NOT the 2nd Coming when every eye will see Him return and His feet touch the mount of Olives and then a massive earthquake occurs)..

@ONErighteousNESS the Trump of God in 1 Thess 4:16 is referring to The Jewish Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah)..and has everything to do with the rapture and not judgement of Rev. Have you had a chance to explore the jewish feasts and what they picture prophetically? if you haven't, then i recommend you check out chuck Misslers teaching or Perry Stones re the rapture and the Feast of Trumpets..

And yes there is only ONE 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ to terra firma,Jerusalem- a physical all seen visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ.. But He comes as a theif in the night for His Bride.. @O thats all according to how you understand that text.. you cant be dogmatic about it just as i cant. You and i can only lean in certain directions because it's not a doctrine but a mystery..as Paul very clearly stated...As a believer like you, we learn all the time new truths about the word. Im always ready to learn and understand..but so far, it appears to me there is a pre-trib rapture and I hmight be wrong but I have the freedom to think that &Salvation is not based on the rapture teaching.

Yeah,Bob Mitchell is looking in the right places with open eyes and it is ramping up I would say to. The existence of an Assyrian antichrist is all in the bible.

Chuch Missler's Assyrian Antichrist 20 parts 2 sermons details it all easily. And I knew of others including myself that noticed these things so the testimony of two or more wittnesses was established for me. In the end only looking at half of an empire is not fully seeing at all anyways.Blessings.
