I always prefered this extended version of this song. I remember back in the day when I bought her album the original 'Mercedes Boy' sounds different.
March 13th 1988 was when this song was released. This will makes it 20 years on March 13th 2008. This particular version of this song was played on NYC 98.7 KISS FM.. Hot 97 played the cut (bad version) and Z100 played the club version. The only other song that had 3 different versions played like this was FINALLY by CeCe Penniston. Mecedes remains my most popular song to date.

March 13th 1988 was when this song was released. This will makes it 20 years on March 13th 2008. This particular version of this song was played on NYC 98.7 KISS FM.. Hot 97 played the cut (bad version) and Z100 played the club version. The only other song that had 3 different versions played like this was FINALLY by CeCe Penniston. Mecedes remains my most popular song to date.

This is the "Electro" version of this song. This song would have never been my favorite song if it wasn't for this version.

Thank you for this comment.I grew up in queens ny and now live in fla. I always wondered why the version i hear nowadays sounds nothing nothing like the version i grew up with.This is the version they used to rock on the radio in ny back in the day and i missed it until now.peace.

She's like the beyonce of the 80's and early 90's, very very pretty. I loved nearly all of her songs, especially "Love Makes Things Happen" which I believe is a duet with Cherelle? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I do remember Cherelle singing vocals on "Always" along with Johnny Gill if i'm not mistaken. But yeah, Love Makes Things Happen was with Babyface.

Your production is fine, but your title is misleading, something I always find annoying in YT videos. Why call it 12" if it's not, unless you're trying to be misleading? Otherwise, it's fine.
