  • I grew up in this area and can remember(circa 1958) Mr. Hillendahl farming the ground where the stores and strip centers are. There was an A&P supermarket at the corner of Hillendahl and Longpoint.

  • This Cemetery Actually belongs to my Ancestors. I've heard about it for a long time but last July, my Dad took me to go see it for myself. i've been researching about my families history today and i'm going to talk to my grandmother and great grandmother about it later tonight to find out more about it. i'm not sure if i even know anyone in my family that still has the Hillendahl name. i'm so excited to find this video and that people actually recognize this Cemetery.

  • @megmeekes hi, i am actually the one who recorded and narrates the video. i lived in the area many years and always wondered wat it was until i moved out and i was in the area i decided to stop and noticed the graves and filmed it. i found record of the people buried there and how each and one of them died. the is a kid buried there too i believe he/she died hit by a cow or drawn in a well i dont remember. watever u can find from grandparents i will be happy if u could share with us :)

  • I grew up in Spring Branch and always wondered about this cemetery. Thanks for the video and the history!

  • @c1ndyway oh no problem. i grew up there too and barely found out about that cemetery 3 yrs ago. i always saw that spot and thought it was a small park or something lol

  • The parents, grandparents, infant child, and 15 other family members of Arnold Hillendahl have graves in a small cemetary at the corner of Pech and Long Point. After reluctantly selling most of all 80 acres of land due to high city taxes, he wanted to make sure that cemetary remained undisturbed. A fence was finally put up around it in 1962. For a long time Mr. Hillendahl personally tended the plots.

  • @TXAXEISTA really he tended the plots? thanks for the information. there is another cemetery that belonged to the same family and it was in the forest where bear creek park is now but after being vandalized many times it was moved to the corner of Hwy 6 and Patterson road. the original graves still sit in the same place with a real high fence and protected by the state. they say the bridge on patterson rd is haunted in fact there is a video on youtube where u can see some weird stuff there

  • i used to leave flowers there when i was little:D

  • @salinas51 thats kinda cute hehe. i know a salinas in spring branch originally from the benavides tx. are u related to them??

  • @ganthonyvr No i just have family here in SB, San Juan and mexico. I heard a whole story about that bridge you mentioned on patterson rd but never really knew if it was real or fake. Some of my co workers and I went one night for about an hr but we never saw or felt anything :/ i should look up that vid:D

  • @salinas51 yeah check it out its a really good video and interesting too. if u go go past 12 midnight and turn your car off and lights as well just never go alone lol. oh by the way you are really pretty

  • @ganthonyvr we went maybe like at 2am but we were drinking so we didnt really notice anything. Saw some vids of it though kinda glad we didn't see anything would of been traumatized haha. oh and thanks!

  • tengo 15 años viviendo en houston y siempre ando en spring brach y no sabia sobre esto !

    saludos fairbaks 290

  • Thank you for the video. I was telling someone about my strange family cemetery in Houston and here I find your video. Did you ever do a video on the other one? I believe there is another one and it is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It is surrounded by a 6 ft wooden fence. I found out that this cemetery in your video is my family because I went to my grandfathers funeral at the one in the residential area and saw a lot of old grave stones and some had Hillendahl on them.

  • really! well i know there is one on hwy 6 and patterson but there are no residences there. now this cemetery u are telling me about where exactly is it??? i would love to get it on film. please let me know. so you are part of the hillendahl generation?? thats awsome!!! well let me know whatever you can ok. thank u

  • hey i went to Valley oaks elementary and I remenber the hyllendalh sister going to the school and talking about their family i was about 10 years old so I been knowing the story for a long time since i'm 24 now

  • interesting. who is the hillendalh sister though?? let me know and share the story with us all.

  • OMFG THIS IS SO FUCKING SCARY

  • Omg.. I live in Sweden my Last name is hyllendahl

  • The Hillendahls set up the Old Methodist church and the family is from the mid 1800's and set up the barker cypress west side area. The started the community and the old blue light cemetery is the old hillendahl cometary, which is now US Govt Property set in the woods off Peck rd in Bear Creek Park. The family's generations branched out to Spring Branch, West side, Alief and even katy area

  • @PCEntertainment ... there's no "Pech" road in Bear Creek Park. The original

"Blue Light Cemetery" is located off Sullins Way in Bear Creek Park. The majority

of the graves have been moved to a cemetery immediately off Highway 6 and

    Patterson Rd.

  • @myswtest pech road is actually a cross street where it meets long point thats where the cemetery on the video is at. the blue light cemetery is on hwy 6 true thats a different cemetery. i have an idea where the old cemetery is and i want to film it.

  • oh my god ,I lived in spring branch for 19 years and never noticed it and my mom works right next to that texaco .next time I go i'll take a look

  • sorry, I used my roommates account without knowing it but I was the same person on that "wakemelater" account. Like I said, I live in L.A. right now sadly but I miss Spring Branch my home sweet home.

  • its a little deppresing to see long point and pech on a video knowing you have memories from that area and all of spring branch right? i know how it feels :) yeah chk out that cemetery its there and it looks like people dont vandalize it no more im glad

  • I live in L.A. right now because of school and work but I go back to Houston every chance I get to visit my family. They live in the Kempwood and Wirt area.

  • Thanks for posting the video man. I've lived in Spring Branch for 18 years and I've never noticed that. Next time I go back which will be sometime this year I will check it out. I hope it doesn't get vandalized even more than what it has been.

  • cool. where do you live now?
