It criticizes the nation and displays more of the negative events than good that had revolved around in their history. The reason that so many games make "America" as the good guy is simply because of the immense money that comes from the military industrial complex to fund games like these. If they want the money, then they better make their game like the U.S military wants. However in this game while the main missions are U.S based, its easy to create user based missions where you are against the U.S.

ARMA 2 fans! Consider this! What if they took the huge size of ARMA 2 and made a WW2 style game? Set it in the age of Operation Market Garden. Any objections to the epic gameplay and the cult following a game like that would inherit? I WOULD suggest Normandy but thats overplayed as US crap. Even Bastogne is overplayed as US stuff. Lets do Market Garden, hell! Make 1 game, make expansions and eventually have EVERY theatre! Samurai kamekazi charges on Iwo Jima anyone?

Why even Market Garden? Why not the Eastern Front, or the Winter War? Why not the French Resistance fighting against the Nazi occupiers in the streets of Paris?
Also Normandy wasn't just an American role, but I do agree that almost every Normandy game/map/other focuses on the Americans and not the British/Canadians/Free French/Polish.
The Americans are focused on a lot on Normandy because Omaha beach was a blood bath. The other beaches met resistance but not nearly as much as Omaha.
"Not nearly as much"? I don't think so. The Canadians at Juno suffered 50% casualties, the second highest on the Landings. The British at Gold Beach suffered very heavy casualties as well.
Omaha might have been the worst, but not by much.

It criticizes the nation and displays more of the negative events than good that had revolved around in their history. ARMA 2 fans! Consider this! What if they took the huge size of ARMA 2 and made a WW2 style game? Set it in the age of Operation Market Garden. Any objections to the epic gameplay and the cult following a game like that would inherit? I WOULD suggest Normandy but thats overplayed as US crap. Even Bastogne is overplayed as US stuff. Also Normandy wasn't just an American role, but I do agree that almost every Normandy game/map/other focuses on the Americans and not the British/Canadians/Free French/Polish.

Not that they're lives were worth any less, but the percentage of people is what really hurts. To the canadians or english, losing 1 man could be equaled out to maybe 3, or 4 for the americans. So, even though Juno or Gold may not have cost as many lives, the countries in charge of those beaches did not have had as many men to start with.

@hexlord21 But then thats saying that an American life is worth less than a British or Canadian life simply because the American military is larger.
The fact is, the while the British and Canadian forces (as a unit) may lose more from one life, that does not mean that they're beaches were worse, or harder, which was the point of the argument, and which is why Omaha will continue to be the focus in D-Day scenes. Also, there were Americans on some of the other beaches.

bloody and horrible fashion, I stated very openly that "Not that
they're lives were worth any less, but the percentage of people is what really hurts" It was simply a statement pointing out the fact that percentage wise, the damaging losses, although less in number, could be justified through how many men those
other countries were working with right off the bat.

They're working on it. It's a Total Conversion called Invasion 1944; they already made it for Arma 1 and you can already download it. It's going to feature a massive amount of content.
