@MrPencas4U If timing is the concern with the chorus, where would you position the "Final Countdown!"s? To simply remove them would leave most of the song open and plain. I messed around with timing them and ultimately placed them following the snare beat, encompassing two, last parts of "FiNAL" and "CountDOWN".
Some footage!! :) Playing this game back when the game was released from renting it at Blockbuster video, or since 02'or 2003. :) This song remind me of the Greatest war of the battle generation like ever for this music!!! COOL!!!
When it gets to the chorus i think personally it should just be said once.. because then at one point the Mega Man X song goes up in key and then Europe goes down in a minor part...but other than that i knew that the songs were similar lol
@JonIsFrench Yeah, I tried changing the keys of "The Final Countdowns" but that made it sound even weirder, lol. I just felt that the solo parts took up a large portion of the song before it looped and it felt rather empty without something else there to sustain the mix.
@MegaMacTV Yeah i can understand what you mean, that one melody line is quite long... but at 0:44 is perfect to me up until 0:47.. thats what i'm talking about cuz it just seems weird but its still cool nonetheless :P
@MegaMacTV first one 0:43 - second one, between 0:52 & 0:53 and so on.... but don´t get mad about that... actually i was very impressed with your video cuz i havent realized that both songs are so accurate... sorry if my english its not properly but i´m latinamerican... :3
@MrPencas4U I'm not mad =P. I'm just not sure how it doesn't work. The first final countdown is timed with the four drum rolls in a 1, 2, 3, 4 timing. The second is separated by five beats, where as the other two with four beats. No matter where I would have placed any of the final countdowns, one would have been inevitably spaced by five beats. For that part I decided to let more of the solo through as a result. And no prob, I understand what you say just fine. =)
@RubilacEx Personally, I can't understand how anyone would think that. The only parts that probably sound off are the repeats of "The Final Countdown" used to fill in the gaps to make a full mix. Other than that, I think the notes and time signatures between the song and the vocals harmonize quite well. Just listen to the parts at 00:25 onward. =)
@6ionthe6y There are similarities, there are aren't supposed to fit together like most other mash ups, it's complimentary mash-up, not comparison mash-up.
Damn! Minusing the Final Countdown parts of it that were added to this, can I get a download of the remix of Infinity Majinions stage? I've been looking for it for a while.
@HornetFellow Done with Jazz? Like, remixed in the style of Jazz? I would so do it but Fruity Loops is mighty confusing to me at the moment. Mix wise, I don't know what jazzy song could work. =P
@HornetFellow You know, I should. I love most 80's groups, but I have no idea where to start. Maybe BTO with "Overdrive" Ostrich? You ain't seen nothin' yet aggravates me, lol.
@HornetFellow When I improvise like that, I usually follow the beat timing of the song, like for example: The Final Countdown, there is the snare hit at "nal" and "down". I felt that leaving the solo parts open would be rather lackluster and not much of a detailed "mix", so I had them repeat it at the best timing I could. At any other place REALLY sounded out of place. =P
the chorus is the only thing that is not right but anthing else is very well timed
