There was no mega mushroom in mario party 3, the mega mushroom came in 2006 on new super mario bros.

Speaking of box art ambiguity, I remember hearing about Mario Party 3 coming out when I was 11, so I asked my mother to pick it up from the rental store since she was already in town. She brought it home, and I popped it in my N64 without even looking at the box or art on the cartridge. Much to my dismay, I was playing Mario Party 1, and not 3, since the box art can be a bit confusing with the die showing a "3" prominently and it being right up under the title, so... yeah, that fooled my mother.

This is the first Mario Party's one. It says on MarioWiki that there was a mix up in the product packaging and this problem made people think that the first was the third.

the mega mushroom does't look like the mega mushroom it looks like just a normal mushroom like in super mario bros but in a 64 bit way.

I remember that minigame it was so much fun going so fast and then crashing into the wall xP also when you mysteriously got the mushroom three times in row or you stole the mushroom from someone else that game was so much fun.
