They're crisp and tight. They reveal what you're talent truly is. But, hey, if you wanna blame the amp, blame your pickups and blame everything besides your hands, who am I to tell you any differently. I'm sure a 5150 or a Mesa, though good amps in their own way, will be right up your alley for camouflaging shit playing.

I thought I was just gonna replace the power tubes which had gone bad and then chuck it back on Craigslist, I dug into it one day and boy did it impress me. It's like a JCM800 if you woke it up from a drunk nap. I like using it in conjunction with my modded 5150 and ENGL Fireball for recording. I use it to color in the mids on rhythm tracks and my solos are now just the Laney by itself.
