I saw this exact tour in NC a few years back! I would love to see this version as a whole if you have it. This is the only song I didn't know because they cut it out of the home video-why they did beats me. Poor Old Deuteronomy had to sit on stage during the intermission and all the kids trying to get his attention. GTLS is my fav part of Cats. It's a shame they had to ruin it in this version by trying to joke it all up. This is the only love story in Cats and by neglecting that for cheap laughs, they miss a great opportunity.

@CosplayCore How is them making out helping the story? The kiss is one of the most obvious romantic interactions in the whole play, besides the mating dance and Griddle+Growl so If something as big as a kiss doesn't count as proof than NOTHING is proof.

Just because their is a gay couple doesnt mean everyone is going to become gay. and Even if everyone was gay humans would just share resorces to reproduce. Lesbians would be surrogates for gay couples, and Gay men would donate sperm for them. HA

I actually prefer MistoxVicky, but as a team, I agree with you. C: Munku has awesome fighting skills and Misto has awesome magic skills. One could blast magic at an enemy and while hes recharging, the other could jump on the enemy's back and scratch away.

"Cats" is the one musical I saw the most. The Broadway production and first national tour had the most elaborate staging of any "Growltiger's Last Stand" that I've ever seen with a three-dimensional bow/cabin/deck ship that unfolded from the back wall of the theatre. It was amazing! All the other productions just have the ship painted on a curtain.

I remember seeing this live, and honestly I remember a ship but don't remember the lyrics or song. I think I was trying to figure out what was going on (I had the DVD version, which I adored, and I always found Gus boring. But I think that was mainly because I couldn't understand what they were saying, since now I love it.) I also might have been focusing on the stuff that was different from the movie and being mad about that, since I was young and stupid and didn't realize thee was a play first

Growltiger was always one of my favorites. It's a shame they left it out of the dvd. If anything had to be left out, they should have left Bustopher Jones out, but not Growltiger.

@kachinababe I disagree, I don't think they should have left anything out they should have just gotten one of the younger guys to play Growltiger. Perhaps even the guy who played Bustopher in the video (sorry ti's late and I can't think of his name). I also wish they had done more behind the scenes stuff.

@JellicleKat, well I don't think they should have left anything out either, but since they did, my preference would have been Bustopher Jones. Growltiger was much more entertaining. When I saw the show on Broadway, that is the one of the parts that stuck will me very vividly all these years. (I was only 7 when I saw it).

Growltiger was left out because the actore has become blinde during the Theater probs. They didnt want another actor to play Gus/Growltiger, so they left out that part.

It is a Junkyard. That background is Just a flashback. Because Growltiger is a cat who Gus had once played in the past. So he goes into a flashback of when he played the part.

Yes. Because Griddlebone was really working for Ghengis, she was to distract him while Ghengis and the Siamese swarmed aboard. Once they are on board, she disappears.
